Its an accumulator or puke tank. Collects any blow by or moisture, etc, where as valve cover breathers just spit it all over the motor when turning 5k. It has lines running back from the breather holes to it. It has a petcock for draining and after a weekend on the lake about a couple ounces of condensation/fluid will be in it. Thanks, this run was fun but it gets louder longer without the kids in the boat. :)
Where did you get the ski tow? I have a 74 Taylor SJ with the 455 Olds as well and would like to get a ski tow for it. They seem hard to find. Nice boat by the way, nothing like to sound of a 455!
I still have my Dead grandfathers 1971 Cutlass Supreme SX 455 W motor 400 turbo trans posi factory dual exhaust and I drove it as a teenager and used to blow the doors off of the Iroc z Camaro, Buick Grand national the modern day muscle at the time and Piss off ALOT of rich old men .....LOL I know she might sound like she's missin, but boy she could teach you a lesson. Did you boy s come here to race or just kiss? LOL

hey man, i dont know a whole lot about boats but, i was wondering, how do you cool your olds?? with the exhaust the way it is?

It is cooled by a line coming from jet pump, endless cool lake water. A Banderlog controls the water to the headers based on rpm.
Olds sounds even better now completely broke in and carb adjusted.
