Pc to kill off console? Alienware x51 and game talk

@Nitewulphe, it's about time a PC comes out that won't break the bank. More/more people started to buy consoles because they got tired of all the crap that comes along w/computers(ie-malware, etc), and the cost of upgrading. I just got a ps3, and while I still have my gaming computer, it's good to know that I don't have to worry about getting infected any time soon.

No exclusives on PC, are you guys kidding? Starcraft 2, Diablo 3, WoW, Guild Wars 2, League of Legends, Half life 1 and 2, just to name a FEW. These guys obviously have no idea of PC culture. The reason that people wont get PCs is because they have their head too far up their asses to look up a LITTLE information to build their own PC that would be a lot more worth-while then buying a console. PC is not, nor will EVER be dead. Xbox 720 info is out and it's ALREADY obsolete by PC standards.

I dont believe the x51 will be the end of console gaming. One good thing about console gaming is the fact you dont have to buy more RAM new Graphics Card ect any game you buy for any console will work with that console unlike PC gaming where the specs of your machine have to be up to par with the min. specs of the game. There are way to many people playing console for it just do die. Thats just what i think

any and all self respecting PC players know that alienware is garbage, your paying way over the price you should pay for a PC with not so great hardware! PC will never kill console gaming, i actually dont know a single person that still plays PC , i use too, But it just is too much hassle with all the mandatory downloads and multiple disc too write games on your HDD and the constant upgrades, too me it was Bullshit and my PS3 does the job just fine and there arent enough major games for the PC

PC to kill of console ? I say not now, not only because they make a PC of a size of a console. Console win for friendly users, reliable operating system, no mendatory complete installation for all the games, PS3 and consoles have seriously good exclusives.

I totaly agree for the IP stuff. They are about the 8th COD game, 4th GOW, 3rd Uncharted, 3rd Resistance, 3rd Killzone, 3rd Battlefield, 3rd Motorstorm. Demon's Soul was a fuckin' blast of innovation and flawless RPG gaming experience.

this will be the first time syphon filter will be on the ps3, so why complain about it being the same shit? besides, there are plenty of new great ips out there (exclusives and multiplats) but they don't get much hype. BLUR is a beast! it has a cult following but the game should be a huge mainstream success. Lost Planet 2 is awesome as well; it has a nice following but mostly from japan. you just gotta research these games and don't always follow the gaming scores.

If the x51 is $600 then what the hell is MS thinking? Why not commission something like the x51 for next a next gen console. Think about it. Its $600 now. By the time the next xbox would launch that thing would cost like $400-500. A console doesn't need a full OS and streamlining it and integrating its parts aka meaning you can't upgrade it would bring the price down even further. Not only that but Alienware has to sell that thing for a profit not a loss as they don't make game software sales.

alienware tech looks nice... but thats about it. you can go way cheaper by building it yourself. I got a alienware mx14 laptop. I checked out the specs in the new alienware pc and my laptop is better. but not by much though. if anyone thinks about going pc then build it yourself. you can get a top of the line pc for around 900 or less if you build it yourself. but if you go alienware or other companies to build a REAL gaming rig itll cost like $2000 or most likely waaayy more.

I like the x51 for it's mobility but thats all. It's not worth it and will definitly not kill off consoles because it's still essentially a pc. Not really Impressed with the gpu's for the price. Seems like they shoulda had stronger gpu's and weaker cpu's.
