  • spiderman is the new venom....

  • For me, Secret Invasion was a huge waste with another Marvel let down of an ending... did it even end. Talk about Morrison style, WTF was with the end showing the Super Villains. Somebody loves The Hood. Mockingbord?!?! They showed her in the afterlife a few too many times. Why bring back Harry Osborn. I don't know, why bring back Mockingbird. Clint was doing fine without her.. getting laid alot. It's like when Obama won, but the opposite. I'm glad for those of you that liked it, I didn't :P

  • Bendis does love the Hood its true.

Marvels events can be a bit hit and miss but usually lead into some great books.

  • this is a good vid

  • I would far rather have seen Hank Pym die than Wasp, I think its a shame for them to do it, its seems to be that every event MUST have a big death to make it valid....

Theres a lot of promise in the marvel line tho, Secret Warriors I'm looking forward to and Astonishing Tales, even though its an anthology I think it looks pretty good.

What I'm really excited about though is marvel just keeps adding to the writing talent, Andy Diggle and now Hickman joining the brain trust there is amazing

  • Brad pointed out that Astonishing Tales has Hickman listed as writer/artist, so we're hopefully going to see his unique style (see Nightly News, Red Mass For Mars, etc.) on a Marvel story.

  • Exactly yeah! I got the Nightly News trade recently and its amazing. Hopefully we'll see him do his amazing layouts for Marvel, I'd love to see him do his own books on the Icon imprint as well though.

And great roundup of whats going on with the Marvel universe lads :)

  • TWO MISTAKE THAT U MAKE:

ms.marvel is also going to be part of the new avengers.

and greg pak is the write of INCREDIBLE HERCULES not the one u said.

  • You are right. I stand corrected.

Why did I think Van Lente was on Hercules?

  • Van Lente co-wrote Herc with Greg Pak for a while so you weren't that wrong.

  • he help him in #123

  • Norman isn't the director of SHIELD because SHIELD is no more also is the ThunderBolts (the new ones are going to be the black op of Norman) instead of SHIELD a new organization will raise, HAMMER.

  • According to what was said in SI #8, SHIELD and the 50 State Initiative and the Avengers were all folded into the Thunderbolts Initiative.

I figured HAMMER was the next in a line of SHIELD knock-offs... SHIELD, ARMOR, HAMMER... what's next, CLUB? HELMET?

  • HELMET....LMAO maybe if marvel do a porno imprint!

I'm hoping the Avengers (eventually) regain their independance. I'd love to see at least one book in the mold of the classic Avengers a la David Michelinie, Roger Stern, Kurt Busiek eras

  • Very good episode Man!

i didn't like Secret Invasion but I like very much the all Dark Reign idea, fore Tony, but his on going series going to be amazing! and War Machine On going series... i have died and came to heaven! War Machine covers for issues 1-3 are FUCKING AMAZING! issue 3 :))))))

  • War Machine = the awesome

Thanks for the kind words. :)

  • Don't get me wrong Craig I liked the issue a lot. What I didn't like was how the plotlines were resolved so quickly. I really hated when all of the replaced people came back.

I am not that excited for new avengers since the lineup didn't change much except for Cap

Really excited for Mighty. We will get the classic avengers back.

Also excited for Dark Avengers. love marvel boy. I thought the T-bolts from before were shut down?

I hate the thor clone but love initiative

  • To be fair, the second spaceship was something of a deus ex machina.

As for the T-bolts, according to #126, Moonstone is in charge now. How that will change in Dark Reign, we have yet to see... but all the solicits talk about Norman Osborn (and one mentions the irredeemable Ant-Man!).

  • Wasp's death shocked me, but Mockingbird's return did not. Her possible return was teased in issue 1, so I guess I saw it coming. I have West Coast Avengers #100 where Bobbi "died", and it's the only issue of WCA I own. Great review Craig, keep up the good work.
