This commercial has no backings for what it claims about Walker and Neumann .... it makes absolutely no sense... I thought a 6th grader made this video.... Quite embarrassing for the Democrats... I thought you could do better
I think the add is a success in the fact that it is targeted against Walker, yet is not expressly negative. It is good, light-hearted humor -- something you would never see from a Republican political machine that relies on terror tactics! But, the hay day of those tactics is over!
It should also be noted that in my professional life, I'm a production artist. I make ads, fliers, documents and books for a living. This is one of the worst political ads I've seen in years, ranking up there with some of John Gard's.
I'm a dem, as well; I served for 4 years on the state Platform & Resolutions committee, served as an officer in 2 county parties (I moved and was elected to a board seat in the second)—where I was the vice-chair of a county party, and was on the exec board of another. I've worked as a staffer for state senate & assembly campaigns. I've been an active democrat since I was 6 (yes not a member until later).
I have one thing to say about this ad: was it your intention to look like a train wreck?
Whoa big fella, that's your lamest commercial yet. If that's all you guys got, you're in big trouble. But then, I reckon since there's nothing positive you can say about your 6.5 billion dollar deficit cowpoke, you might as well make kindergarten cartoons.
Just how is it negativity to point out that Governor Doyle and his cohorts in Madison have created a $6.5 BILLION dollar deficit? It's just the facts. And if the facts are negative, so be it. I suppose it's also negative to point out that Governor Doyle and friends just passed a budget in the assembly that INCREASES spending, has $37 Million in pork spending and INCREASES taxes by 2.1 BILLION dollars. Great leadership from these folks. We can do without these "new ideas".
My negativity? The last three YouTube videos your party has done has slammed Walker. But it's not negative if you're saying it right? And by the way, I don't think it's advertising that's going to lose party votes, Doyle's horrific record, lies and tanking state economy will probably be what voters are paying attention to...see the latest Public Opinion poll that has Walker beating Doyle 48 to 40. And by the way, ad is spelled ad, not add.
