  • where did you get the little spray bottle thing? I think Im gonna try this on a pistol.

  • @GoGreenMan hardware store

  • The Duracoat looks pretty good, but why would you use spray paint after applying Duracoat?

  • his stuff looks used so fuck off

  • Your stuff looks good to me and a good video.

  • Jeez guys stop the hatin'. This guy plays near the desert so he sprays it tan. This isn't your video, or your gun or your project. If you want to say his stuff looks like shit, give him a picture of your gun that looks better than his, and if he agrees that yours looks better than his, well then woop-de-do... Jeez trolls these days...

  • how does the aresol can work? Got some things I want to duracoat

  • man your stuff looks like shit.

  • @crailberry thanks, let me know when you grow a pair, and make you own videos of your projects.

  • @beast12101 You asked viewers to tell you what they thought and he did; he has a right to his opinion - this is youtube after all. I would agree it does not look good - imo anyways...

  • @bigtimv constructive criticism is always welcome " your stuff stuff looks like shit" is not

  • this would only let me dislike 1 time :( wow your an idiot. I do not have any videos of me doing this before you go check. Why you ask? because I do not know how. The same reason you should have left your nice rifle alone.

  • @chawski42 What are you afraid of? Why would you not want to learn a new skill or try something you havent done before?

  • Man you sure love Duracoat.

  • MAN I JUST WANT TO LIVE IN A FEKIN COUNTRY WHERE WE CAN OWN THIS STUFF ,BLOODY ENGLAND... (RUNS OFF AND CRY'S...)

  • very helpful

im a complete noob but this was informative

  • Escuse me sir did you have any tips that you can give me did you learn dont do this or should have done that....Any help would be appreciated.

  • Sorry man, can't watch a video thats swinging all over the place :(

  • I tried that stuff, i prep-ed it correctly, and it wore only slightly better than spray paint. I've had much better luck with Cerakote. Duracoat hates heat, it'll start to come off the barrel first, and in high ware areas like mags lock-in locations, i hope you have better luck than it did

  • @beast12101 - Next time try Cerakote, it costs more for the coating and equipment needed, but end results are far better than duracoat. Duracoat is nothing more than wal-mart quality house paint with a hardener.

  • I have sprayed mine a day ago. If I put my finger nail really hard it scraches off. Normal?

  • @detectiveinspekta no not normal

  • @theriggenbach- enlist first then talk!

  • some advice... look up "Nutnfancy Duracoat", he does a good simple briefing.. and i wouldnt recomend duracoating the cun and gas tube... could mess with the mechanics of the rifle.

  • Looks good beast. The best way to get better at something is to practice doing it your self. I'm going to be doing some duracoating myself soon.

  • Tactical GURU? really??? dont hurt yourself patting yourself on the back. next time enlist and try the real world before you play TACTICAL GURU on youtube!!!

  • @mikeg745 I said that because I am not a guru. I never claimed to be.

  • @mikeg745 You're a fucking dick.

  • @mikeg745 lol nice comment. i'd just like to say lots of people tell guys like this to enlist and get some real world eperience, but i'd have to disagree. i don't want to serve with most people you're referring to. let them stay at home and make fun vids of tacticool stuff where they belong. btw i'm enlisting this summer

  • @mikeg745 Chill man, you chose to watch this video. He didn't say he was a Tactical Guru. By the way how do you even know he wasn't ex military?

  • This is a show-and-tell video of all your crap. I love how you skipped over the part when you actually painted. It's like when Martha Stewart bakes a pie on TV.

  • Congrats, you just lowered the value of that fine rifle. ...If you got the $ for the rifle and all those attachments why did you skimp on your equipment to duracoat it? And not having enough paint for everything you started paint? ...rookie painting flub. Leave it to the pros and if you don't it's good to practice on something before your final product.

  • @JSParadiso "rookie flub" its called learning by doing, instead of just typing about it, I went to your channel to see if you had videos about duracoating the "right way", but you dont seem to have anything there. What equipment am I lacking? And just remember its only spray paint, it can be changed, taken off, I dont see your comments as being valid.

  • @paintballsniper07 i think it was 16 bucks, check out the website

  • the paint goes alot further in a air brush if it helps.

  • Looks great. Thanks for the video.A friend of mine told me to use starting fluid in a aerosol can to get rid of all the oil on my rifle. Before painting it.

  • I know there is a lot of time & work that goes into project videos. Thanks for taking us through your experience in this process.

  • i thought it looked pretty good. the final color touches on the mags were nice. i'm not familiar with what colors you have to choose from but finding a sage green would look awesome with the desert tan. you got guts for spraying all of that! but it turned out great.

  • i found the best way to camo is have the base tan lay some brush and leaves or pine needles on it and mist second color move around the brush and leaves and mist third color it looks cool or just two colors like tan / black or tan/brown.

  • @kmeconst yeah that is a popular way of spaying and quite an art at that.

  • Interesting.

I kind of like the duracoating... but I don't know if I'd do any of my gear just yet.

Maybe down the road.. but I'm not as handy as you and I don't have a space to work in. I live in a lame apartment.

How often do you get out and shoot?

  • Hi Beast, do you think the Duracoat is something that should be used on an eating utensil (canteen cup)? Is it safe? The campfire soot seems to do a good job of making it inconspicuous. Enjoyed the vid, thank you!

  • @KevinMichaelMichael its only on the outside

  • 30 round mags?

  • @vanzhant yeah

  • Awesome video as always. I like your approach and willingness to experiment and share the lessons with all of us. Great job!

  • im impressed with the sponge job, i did not think it would turn out nearly is good. the right mag light side looked to have perfect coverage to me. when i have coated knives, i usually tape off the rubber handle because it peels with use. awesome job though.

  • That duracoat looks extremely cool

  • maybe its just me man, but as the stuff wears off I think it looks better....I always think that the "weathered" look tends to make more of a statement!!!! Good shit though man!!!

  • @joshlone1982 thanks, wearing it off is half the fun ;)

  • Ceracoat is better.

  • Just breaking up the shape is the important part IMO. I like the sponge job!

  • How does it feel after its been painted? Does the texture change any?

  • Good vid and IMO the right mag's lite side does it for me. Hoss's sponge idea looks like a good one, it's an old painters trick but it works. Have Fun and Take Care. :-))

  • Turned out pretty good.

  • I like both...But you need to get some color down in the channels to break up the str8 lines , there are no str8 lines in nature so they say in the army...Good job , Thanks and God bless...

  • Great vid..what I like about your approach is the everyday guy project. With some other vids..guys try to make their gear show room perfect and then never take it out for practical application. Good job bro! I agree with hinckleypoland, it's your gear do what you please.

  • great video

  • nice job i say less is more left side for me

  • I saw all that gear in the "Yaesu FTM-10R" video and was wondering what you were up to. Good stuff man. Love that camo job, might have to try that w/ my mags! Thanks for another cool vid!

  • If you ordered a second color of duracoat you could use it as your camo color and cut a few stencils from plastic or heavy aluminum foil and it will look much more professional. I have to say, I still like the sponge technique either way. Great job, man.

  • Good video & project. I agree, "less is more". I would love to see how Duracoat's ACU Campak goes with your version of the bush...

  • This makes me want to get a duracoat project going.

  • I'm kicking around Duracoating my 870 for fun. It's got the wooden stock so I'm going to leave the stock, well, stock lol

At very least it might make hiding in a duck blind easier. My wooden stock is black and it looks like a very tactical hunting rifle and I can only imagine that it might be a hindrance if I use slugs and hunt deer with it.

  • your should have enuff to dura coat the BOV ?

  • ohh man, i wish i were able to do this kind of project, im a poor college student T-T !!!!!

  • That is a UTG deluxe bi-pod with the rubber feet. I use the same one with steel sled feet.

    Good vid!

  • I like the right mag "light" side. But hey its your rifle and do as you please. Meanwhile, nice little project for sure!

  • @hinckleypoland Im leaning that way too

  • Great video!

  • You make great vids man. I like your approach to these projects, I know I have said this before, but you are exactly the way I interact with my friends and can even say grew up with lots of garage projects and experiments. Good stuff.

  • @Yankeeprepper thanks bud
