  • Ghandustani pride!

  • "If you put faith as the first criteria to enter into the spiritual life, you are almost refusing to give spirituality for 90% of the human beings. It is not very easy to believe anything immediately. You cannot believe and especially in the modern days the words believe, faith all these words are outdated. These words can have no meaning. You can't say only a person who believes, who's got faith, he can come to spirituality. Spirituality should be given for every being." Thank You Swamiji.

  • How can you say there is no other book comparable to the Gita?

You are a Hindu and probably have not read many books from other religious traditions otherwise you would not speak in such a narrow minded way.

But in one way you are right: No other religious book is so silly.

Instead of avoiding the war, Krishna is pushing Arjuna into this war.

And who were killed? Not enemies from outside, no, friends and family members.

Do you call that a spiritual book?

  • well, if you have read Bhagwat Geeta, You would never say "You are a Hindu and probably have not read many books from other religious traditions " The Song of God doesn't stop us reading books from other religions. Try to understand the true meaning of the war of Kurukshetra before making this silly comment here..I am sorry if your religion doesn't allow you to read books from other religion.

  • Hi ruzi, the war of kurukeshtra is the war that is going on inside you. Krishna pushes Arjuna to fight the inner war.

  • then what about all the dead men? Are they inside your head?

That is is an inner war was Gandhi's idea.

He did not like that that his dear Gita should talk about a real war,

    What a mental twisting

  • wow! Gr8 man. Saw him personally one time. He has perfect skin; perfect walk. He seems to personify OSHO. He has very good memory...he quoted each and every word, vebatim, that OSHO mentioned in one of his books. Intelligent..he chose whom to follow. Even sometimes speaks like OSHO...the deliberate hissing sound that he used to make after each delivery of word/sentence. Now after a long practice it has become a habit with this man too.Long way to go..he is so young.

  • osho is nothing compared with this guy...have you heard of all the negative PR related with osho...

  • shiva sutra is better...swamiji said so

  • Bhagwad Geeta 7:20 -- "Those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires surrender unto demigods and follow the particular rules and regulations of worship according to their own natures."

Bhagavad Gita 18:22 "yat tu krtsna-vad ekasminkarye saktam ahaitukamatattvartha-vad alpam catat tamasam udahrtam " - without knowledge of the truth, and which is very meager, is said to be in the mode of darkness

  • Satya Meva Jayate

Yajur Veda 40:9 says,"They are in darkness and are steeped in ignorance and sunk in the greatest depths of misery who worship the uncreated, eternal prakrti-the material cause of the world-in place of the All-pervading God, BUT THOSE WHO WORSHIP VISIBLE THINGS BORN OF THE PRAKRTI, such as the earth, trees, humans bodies in place of God are enveloped in still greater darkness are extremely foolish, fall into an awful hell of pain and sorrow, and suffer terribly for a long time"

  • HindPeace1000

What are you trying to suggest by quoting this?

  • He's trying to say that puja is bad. However, he is misinterpreting the verse.

  • Bhagavad Gita 17:15 - "Anudvega-karam vakyamsatyam priya-hitam ca yatsvadhyayabhyasanam caivavan-mayam tapa ucyate "

    - "Austerity of speech consists in speaking words that are truthful, pleasing, beneficial, and not agitating to others, and also in regularly reciting Vedic literature."

  • Or rather, he's misinterpreting puja (and not the verse).

  • Yajurveda 40:8 -- "He is bodyless and pure"

    Svetasavatara Upanishad 6:9

"Na tasya pratima asti" -- There is no pratima of him

  • In puja, we don't worship the idol; we worship "through" the idol. The idol gives us something to worship God through since we can't see Him directly without Divine Vision (stated in the Bhagavad Gita). God decided a work around by declaring idol worship (supported in the Vedas). This verse in the Yajur Veda is telling us to not worship things other than God. Idol worship isn't worshipping the stone; it's worshipping God. Thus, puja is a sort of "get around" of this verse.

  • Dear Mr Hinduman:

May I suggest you watch the entire discourse before making broad statements that Swamiji is misinterpreting puja. As you know You Tube only allows one to upload files of a certain size and therefore we are unable to load the entire discourse. In the discourse you will clearly see Master explaining that we do not worship the idol, but worship through the idol.

    Sincerely,

Life Bliss Foundation You Tube Team

  • You misunderstood me. I wasn't talking about Swamiji, I was responding to HindPeace1000's comment.

  • Svetasavatara Upanishad 6:9; yajur ved 32:3

"Na tasya pratima asti" -- There is no pratima of him

Svetasavatara Upanishad 4:19 - Nainam urdhavam na tiryancam na madhye na parijagrabhat na tasy pratime asti yasya nama mahad yasah -- There is no likeness of him whose name is great glory

  • idol worship has always been 'worshipping through the idol' . No-one ever expected a stone in and of itself to change their life.

  • Thaknk u for these videos I amazed hinduism have so much meaningfullness. Thhose people who convert to other religion from hinduism should recognize these intelligence. these books are written before christ.
