Good post but not what I'm looking for. I'm a Park Ranger and we have a bird that goes "cheep, cheep, cheep" non stop and load. Is that a Chaffinch?

Hmm - not much to go on but sounds more like it could be Blue tit or similar!!

@goodgodzilla Try looking up a house sparrow and listen to its voice...maybe that's what you're looking for. They cheep non-stop all day long on the same monotonous note.

Saw a chaffinch today, there aren't any in my immediate area (I don't think), I saw this one a quarter of a mile away. Will have to keep an ear out for this song, maybe they are hiding nearby!

Are you people serious!! This bird has been torturing me for the past couple of months-I hate it!. It wakes me up at 5.30 every morning and "sings' non-stop for hours!! And there's no variety in the song it just goes on and on an on. I have to have the t.v or radio on (loud) just to drown out the monotonous sound.

Nice close up of the chaffinch! You can also hear a blackbird singing in the background and also a robin joined in briefly!
