  • THE GREAT DECEIVERS play on Friday, January 20th, 2012 @ 10pm @ Universal Bar and Grill in Universal City/North Hollywood. 4093 Lankershim Blvd. North Hollywood, CA. 91602.

21+ ONLY 6 BUCKS AT THE DOOR!!!!!

  • Great playing by all. Thanks for having the guts and taste to try to pull this stuff off.

  • yes!

  • That is a rough song to cover. Great job guys.

  • good work guys !!

  • This is awesome. I like the use of Indiscipline as the intro. Drummer's damn good.

  • 2 questions:

1.) do you still play shows?

2.) if the answer to #1 is "yes", where at?

    Very cool. And ossum.

  • @CHEAPTHRILLONTHETUBE THE GREAT DECEIVERS(KING CRIMSON tribute band) play on Friday, January 20th, 2012 at 10pm at The Universal Bar and Grill in North Hollywood near Universal City. Don't miss them. They play songs like Starless, Lark's 2, Exiles, 21st, 3 of a Perfect Pair, Vrooom Vrooom and Fracture!!!

  • Look at the guy shred from 4:00-5:00. That is what I'd call skill.

  • Great Job! You guys should do a better quality vid for me to enjoy!

  • YOU GUYS ARE OSSOM

  • YOu can't spell for shit. It's "awesome"

  • As an inveterate Crimson fan, I am impressed and entertained. You don't need my endorsement.

Suffice it for me to say thank you for your music!

  • Wow, I've been trying for months to nail that technical solo in the middle but these guys piss all over my effort. Great cover.

  • awesome . great

  • damn.... who is that violinist????? hes awesome... not a bad job guys.

  • Hooray for those chicks going wild!

  • btw...this is their very first show out of only 4 so far with very little practice. they are too busy with other projects. I am a close friend of the band.

  • Of all the times this song has been covered. This is the first time a drummer hits all beats and fills exactly like Mike Giles.

  • Cool....I think he is playing more like Bruford in USA or The Great Deceiver box set.

  • I am a drummer. I don't know who the drummer is but he is damned good and plays right with the guitar player in unison

  • His name is Paul Morris.

  • thanx

  • Agreed!

  • Great job ! Indiscipline as intro is a very good idea ! I like to see a violonist back to play Crimson's great tunes ! And you know what ?

YOU'RE FAR BETTER THAN THE REAL CRIMSO on his 2008 tour...

What a pity, only Belew and Levin saves the show !

I like the violon part, in this way it's a great tribute : Indiscipline (81-84), 21st Schizoid man (69 and 72-74 era with David Cross) !

    Overblastering !

    Go on, Guys !

  • Great rendition,

nearly 40yrs. after the real event.

The calculated chaos of 21st CSM really comes with a dedication similar to Lake, Fripp, McDonald and Giles at their Hyde park premiere.

And "Indicipline" as Intro fits well!

  • Great job! Your violinist rocks! :)

  • Greats job, my friends, It's very funny.

    Continue your good work...

And now InThe Court Of A Crimson King...

    MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

  • ***Subscribed***

Coming to NJ soon? Contact NJProghouse, Im not afilliated with the proghouse but they do get some terrific bands.

  • Damn nice job! Especially on the stop-break part that starts at around 6:00. Its a bitch to learn how to play on guitar. Hurts your hand =)

  • now that was actually quite good....

  • やばい

  • The first band I ever heard singin' schizoid man the way it has to be sung: Schizoid! :D

My props to you fellas... Seems you got inspiration from The Great Deceiver live version of Schizoid, reminds me of it. Fantastic!

  • MEU VEI DUKARAY.

    MUITO BOM.

    WLU.

  • wow

  • What the hell are DREGS???

  • The Dixie Dregs were an instrumental band from the 70's and early 80's led by Steve Morse on guitar. Steve is now the guitarist for Deep Purple. The Dregs had Rod Morganstern on drums, Andy West on bass, T. Lavits on keyboards (Mark Parrish on early recordings), and Allen Sloan on violin (Mark O'Connor on last recording). They combined classical concepts, southern rock, jazz, bluegrass, and celtic. Ground breaking stuff. 20th century electronic chamber music for rock ensemble and violin.

  • I bet these guys do some Dregs too!

  • What are Dregs???

  • Fuck em'....they NEEDED to hear it, whether they liked it or not!

  • Fucking amazing guys.......you guys should start writing your own music... if you don't already. If you do send me the link
