@JammyPoohBear Dan is trying to get Ben Wade on the train to Yuma prison, and they are running through Cotention being shot at by Ben Wade's gang now led by Charlie Prince.
ARGH DANG IT! I ACCIDENTALLY HIT THE DISLIKE BUTTON! I'M SORRY SO VERY SORRY! The movie and its soundtrack are both so beautiful and amazing! This track also is one of my favorites (:
@Matumbay, really, is that what it says? I don't know, I have only seen it in a theater when it came out and several times on HBO after that. That's just my opinion though.
does anyone know the soundtrack in the film where ben took the horses of dan and his 2 boys and then they found them and the big boy sais they dont need our shit horses
Super sweet soundtrack. God, it really takes this movie even one step higher.
One of my fav western movies from recent years and I actually did enjoy Christian Bale's acting in this one. When 1:32 hits in it sure as **** seals the deal. Lovely modern western to remember.
and then ontop of that he killed the WHOLE ENTIRE CREW! Anyone know why he killed all his other guys????? That's what I thought. The movies was Sick, Then Retarded in the end. Yet I still love an watch it. Maybey I'll direct part 2 starring Dans son LOL!!!!!
So was Ben Wade, He killed more people than Charlie. He even said it to Dans Son when he was like ''If I wasn't as ruthless as i am i could never run a gang like this''. All I'm Saying is russel Crows was a BITCH for Smokin his loyal Follower and it fucked up the end of the movie. Oh well.
@MattAlbie a better one is when Wade says, "Proverbs 13-3, 'they who keep with their mouth keep with their life;they who open their mouth too wide will bring about their own destruction." but i like them both equally.
@MultiMuchacho Completely disagree. I thought that added a PERFECT touch of "moral oomph" to the movie. It was an awesome expression of raw Western justice by Wade to kill his former best buddy because he killed the man - perhaps the only man - that Wade respected for his principles; just a father getting by. Ben Foster who played Wade's best buddy was a little too devoted to Wade, it came off as if Foster's character was Wade's bitch and he desperately sought Wade's approval for everything.
And when The Cowboy from Ben's gang said the town is 100 miles back and let's leave him Charlie said FUCK YOU! Remember What he DID for Us. So what does that show...Charlie was loyal and shot Dan like that because he thought this Bastard is taking my Leader and Friend to Yuma.
The BIBLE is the MARK of the BEAST! Constantine (1st beast) legalized Christianity and had 50 bibles compiled. King James, homo (2nd beast) 666 # of a man, born 1566, 6th of Scotland, authorized 66 book bible, image of God's word, carried in your hand, memorized in your head, made to speak (the bible says) and is used as an object of worship. Your faith will fail.
Great scene, but I felt a bit sorry for Charlie - having to do all that running, shooting, shouting, murdering, being trampled in cow shit... and then being shot by his beloved Boss =(
@Kapoto92 No, actually in an orchestra a horn most commonly refers to a FRENCH HORN. Trumpets and Trombones are referred to as brass instruments, not horns. There are no "horns" that come in at 1:54, there is simply ONE solo Trumpet backed by a barely distinguishable Baritone Guitar. Believe me, I know my music, as I was in an orchestra for four years.
I liked how they made Ben Wade and artist and how he's always calm in bad situation.. Like when he says ''Where we headed to boys? ''Were headed to Bisby to catch the 3:10 to Yuma'' and Ben Wade goes ''Now if we get lost I know were to meet up'' Epic -.-''
Everyone seems to like this song, but even though it's a nice tune, I don't see any high point in the song, it just drags along. Kind of bland in my opinion.
This song and the scene is the best of this movie, it is when Ben decides to help him to be someone so that his son will be proud of him, it is so moving to know that he Bens forgets about himself and does something for someone else. Ben always has the control of the situation.
I love this song at the end, where they are all just running through that half finished town desperately firing shots at each other. Listen to the Directors commentary the guys a genius.
to me jonah hex could have been as epic and as awesome as this movie but no they went and fucked it up so royally. this film to me sets the standard for modern day westerns, even though this film is a remake its just so good
like lmao seriously i hated the whole cow boy thing saw this once at buddies house bought it the next damn day man on amazon this is freaking amazinggggggg and the sound track its totally western and serious and charming moving oh man best movie hands down
@kudurrumaqlu Haha, I was never really into westerns either until I saw the movie "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" for the first time. Needless to say, it's now my favorite movie of all time, and the Western genre is one of my favorites. All westerns out there aren't always about "cowboys and indians." A lot of them have great and engaging storylines, especially the "Man With No Name Trilogy," and involve characters that we wish we could be. If you get a chance, check out those movies.
@CelticHighlander101 Haha awesome!!! It definitely is one of the best movies of all time, but most certainly the best western of all time. If you liked that movie you'll love the two movies that come before it, called "A Fistful of Dollars," and "For a Few Dollars More." They both feature the character from The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly (played by Clint Eastwood) so you should enjoy them just as much!
@Uberslug No haha, I've never even heard of that. "The Man With No Name" trilogy, also known as the "Dollars" trilogy, includes the movies "A Fistful of Dollars," "For a Few Dollars More," and "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly." Which all star Clint Eastwood as the man with no name, a bounty hunter in the old west. In my opinion, they are by far the greatest westerns of all time.
@NinjaDoctor9 Actually, even though it's considered a Trilogy, Eastwood plays a different character in each film....he also has names in each film. (Joe, Manco, and Blondie.) The movies aren't really related except for the fact that they have the same director and the same star.
@Phillies64 I guess it can be looked at it like that. He could possibly be three different characters rather than one. But there is really no proof supporting or refuting either way to look at it. Since in regards to his name, I've always believed (And everyone else I know) that his names were given to him by the films' other characters since he didn't actually have one and for other various reasons. I do like your point of view though, I've never thought of it that way! Very interesting.
@NinjaDoctor9 That is very true. All the names could work as nick names. So He could be the same character in each film, if one wishes him to be. Another factor is that of Lee Van Cleef. He plays two very different roles in the latter two films. In For a Few Dollars More, he plays a protagonists. In the Good Bad and the Ugly, he plays the villain.
Also by the way, thanks for posting this. I love this song.
@Phillies64 Yeah exactly. I prefer to think of him as the same character in each film. But this new perspective (new to me at least) about him being three different characters is awesome, I almost want to watch all the movies again with that in mind. As for Lee Van Cleef's characters, as well as other various actors in the films, including Gian Maria Volonte', they are definitely playing different people in the films they're in.
God, I love this song. And I love the movie, too. Russel Crowe is amazing. It's like, everything that happens all builds up to this part, and it is just amazing.
Yes I agree! I'm a huge fan of Ennio Morricone's western movie composited soundtracks but this and couple of tracks from Beltrami's soundtrack are just magical!
This remake and the true grit remake, is one of the best remakes i ever seen. Love this movie more then true grit though.
