  • Four stars! Superb film.

  • Damn it I want some sake now.

  • He copped too much water in that scene. He almost drowned.

  • he was a good actor he's lucky , he almost lost his head for what he did with Marlyn monroe, he couldn't leave the house for 6 months out of fear from what I hear

  • @jhunted7667 Wow why what happened with Marilyn Monroe?

  • Great movie and acting!! I Love Robert Mitchum

  • Robert Mitchum foi um verdadeiro astro, grande ator.Deborah Kerr, puro talento, charme, elegância e beleza.

  • This is one of my all time favorite movies, and my all time favorite Robert Mitchum movie. He and Deborah Kerr were great lifetime friends. I can't think of a better movie than this!

  • Robert Mitchum should have won the Academy Award for this movie. He had an innocence with a tough guy personna. What actor today could pull that off today?

  • @fjm070

Few. Maybe not none. But too few.

  • One of my childhood favorites. And Robert Mitchum reminded/s me of my late father, though he was a veteran of the ETO. "Don't sit under the apple tree with anyone else but me...".

  • Another classic performance by Deborah Kerr.

  • Sad that Robert Mitchum never got his due, he was sincerely one of the best, may he rest in peace...

  • Agreed. It seems like Mitchum was always voted "most likely to succeed," but he never seemed to be "at the head of the class."

  • The IMDB agrees also.

  • True enough; he unfortunately lived in a time when his type of "bad boy" image was not well liked.

  • look at 0:48 robert was completely underrated....ignored & almost forgotten....but that clip alone tells alot....he was such a pro....totally at ease in front of the camera...seriously

  • Paired with Deborah Kerr, it was impossible for this not to be a fine if not a great movie.

Success is a failure of of which we are all afraid.

  • @BushMass

Mitchcum could never rest in peace. But in one piece, I suppose he'd accept.

  • Outstanding! A Real classic!

  • I love this movie! Thanks! One of Deborah Kerr's best!
