You need to get a 3 star rank on every cup on every difficulty (mirror mode also).

To get that you have to win all four races PLUS try not to fall down in a hole or touch the wall to often.

Well, I always use Luigi because he's my favourite character.

The fastest is Funky it really doesn't matter who you use in grandprix. Every character can win.

Beat the ghost by at least 5 or 6 seconds. If a new ghost appears afterwards then that's the expert ghost (you only need to unlock them to get the outfit B - not to beat them, too).

The exact unlocking times are always different. Maybe you'll find them somewhere.

The expert ghost always uses another character I think...

Other than that, no, I don't think you'll see a difference.

I just did all the ghost in one rush because I never play Time Trial the normal way so I didn't have a problem with that^^
