Hey i got a trojan virus i think and it cut off access to the internet, when i try to go on it says i need to buy a heuristics module 70$. i dont trust it , normal??

@generalhospital18 I don't know if u have Malwarebytes or not, but if u don't u should prolly get the free version. It's the best malware remover I've found. I have a good download link for it that I got from an e-mail from an MBAM technician. I don't know if it still works, but if u want it message me. Cheers!!

@generalhospital18 I'm unfamiliar with AVG, from many comments I've read, I assumed it was a legitimate anti-virus. As I said, I've also seen comments by people that say they can't uninstall it. I run Norton, Malwarebytes, Comcast Pest Control, Spybot, and I've had Firefox with ad block and no script for about 1 month. I've fought tons of malware, I surf porn but not nearly as much as I used to. I had to re-install Windows, and I got lucky there. I hate malicious script.

HEllo AskPcexperts! I got an virus and my computer crashed.. After that I got to goto a engineer. He told me to come back and take with me my computer home tommorow. He said it will take 1 day to fix it. Next day i came to take my 2 computers home. The one of the computer could not access task manager or install any antivirus. It could just install firefox and nothing else! It was infected with tons of trojans! The 2nd computer that the engineer fixed could access task manager and install

@generalhospital18 I'm pretty sure Antivirus 2010 is a FAKE security hi-jacker. It's trying to sell u the full version which does nothing except take your money. I use a free program called Malwarebytes to remove these trojans.

@Slash3r666 I'm absolutely positive Anti Virus 2010 is a fake security hi-jacker. If it gets on your browser u must use system restore or Malwarebytes to get rid of it. Recently, I got up, turned on computer and I had 5 viruses, don't know how I got them. I had to do a repair install of windows, cuz I didn't have any icons on my desktop. Since then I downloaded Mozilla Firefox with adblock, and no script, I'm trying to be as safe as I can. Don't like $100 repair bills.

turn off firewall, udates and ur antivirus then go to safe mode turn it all on and run a scan there...... happy surfing....*( safe mode. shut down pc/ turn on pc then press f8 before bios appear then choose the mode pick safe mode)

Not all viruses and trojans are as easy to find, for instance, prorat will jump each time you try to delete it, there are ways of manualy deleting 'rats' remote access trojans/tools, but there are also some good programs like antiprorat

if your computers slow and not fast you may have a Trojan virus in a progress i always notice when my computers going slow i know to check my progress and theirs most likely a Trojan so i boot up into safe mod and find the virus name and remove it

it saved my pc once, couse i always have task manager on, i could react very fast to it and slow it down. then i did a process scan which blocked the install of other things too. ALWAYS watch your processes

first, before you open any file, open taskmanager, if you see abnormal activity, kill the process, it maybe will still install, but if task manager and your antivirus do not quarantine it, let it install, but watch closely what is does, immediately disable system restore. and do nor rely on just 1 anti virus, i have currently 2 installed and 3 more installers on my desktop incase the others fail, maybe i'll make a video myself about it.

My method of removing Virus without AV

For more minor infection;

1. Look for processes running on startup using Hijackthis and Autoruns

2. Search the entries for suspicious item and google it, delete those item and search for the item in registry then delete the registry item too.

3. Just in case there's a rootkit run a scan using Gmer too.

For more severe infection e.g, cant boot in safe mode, can't run any program including hijack this, use the ultimate boot disc for windows.

Backup all important file to another disc/partition scan the disc using multiple AV and reformat the infected partition. A severely infected computer cannot be trusted anymore and it would be wise to reformat it.

or, as is the case with most modern computers, the reformat (windows cd) is hidden on a partion of your drive, you will need to tap one of the 'F' keys to boot into the reformat menu, the function key needed depends on your pc.

LOL, if people that have pc that are infected with virus and search for this video then they should be able to google for free help online with free volunteers that can read "hijack this" logs and help you clean computers with free virus and spyware removes. I'm one of those volunteers, and so far I said screw those pay-as-you go protection and get free malware protection online such as "Malwarebytes anti-malware" or spybot search and destory. They are way better than the ones you buy.

For your Trojan problem go download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (google it) you can get the free version or donate to them by paying. And then run it in save-mode (by pressing F8 at computer start up) and run full scan. Then get hijack this (also google it) and post one of those logs on malware remover website and let those free experts help see if your computer is clean.
