thats the breather filter for the PCV system. it's usually a hose that runs to the stock air filter box to get clean air but with an aftermarket sometimes there is no place for a hose, you just put its own filter on it.

from the air intake system u lost a few traces of air from the 2 intake system leading into a single tubing, u need a metal tubing, and a turbo and that car will sound like some sexy girl being fucked up the ass. lool swear down just get money to do dat and u get urself a quality car, and also get an exhaust tip :D

i'm sorry but did you see the temp gauge? how do you know it was cold? he probably just got done driving it. i doubt it was cold just by listening to the idle immediately after startup, it went right down to a low idle, not a cold start idle that is usually about 100-200 RPM higher for a good 1-2mins.

nice car... I have a '08 V6.. I considered getting a v8 until i looked at the insurance too... I've never had a wreck or a ticket... and it was going to be over $4000 a year on insurance instead of the $1600 i'm paying on mine now! so to me saving that money and fixing the cars up is a much better idea!!! :)

Technically it does add about 20hp but only 3-5 of that gets to the wheels.

haha yea. intakes dont give much HP gain. the single digits it might add are always at a high rpm, usually almost redline. especially his warm air intake. its probably killing performance sucking in hot air from the engine bay like that, plastic cover on one filter or not the air is still getting sucked from under the hood.

u did get a master rebuild kit for them gears right? and im guessin since u went with shorties u plan doin a turbo upgrade an dnot supercharger, correct? do u have a short throw shifter yet? if so i'd wait till u get that before gettin the driveshaft put on and u could do that urself,its only 6or8 bolts on each end an dthe driveshaft just falls out? but ur gonna have to drop the drive shaft to have the short shifter put in, or at least its a hell of alot easier then tryin to work around it

yeah i planning on going turbo for my car as for the gears i got everything i need and the short shifter i don't have to worry about it cause i'm not doing in it. its not the i don't want to but i feel more safe if some pro does it instead of a rokie.
