face,,fair comment,,,my "struggle' was that I was playing thru the marshall, a dirty amp on a Chet Atkins tune w/ a master of this style. And It is good guitar etiquette to play opposite someone else in a two guitar setting.

I would like to learn pieces like Wendell's part in this clip. Can anyone recommend an instructional DVD? I can already fingerpick basic "country blues.". I don't know where to start music like this.

there are no real instructional DvD's for finger picking , all you need is a good teacher who show it to you reallly reaaallly slow. thats how i learned a few pickings and btw you got many diffrent pickings but i think you mean country / rockabilly / chet pickings ? wel country / rockabilly picks are dirty and u can make mistakes NP but ! with chet atkins picking you can't make any mistakes those are clean sweet pickings. , im learning Chet Atkins style Mr.sandman now. its hard.
