  • This old men is such a donk, why he plays such a big tournament?

  • i love when phil thinks he has the best hand and then baaaaam !!

    hahah his reaction is priceless

  • god how i wish he turned over 2 7 to phil

  • Restless, immature, obnoxious...

And one of the most quotable Poker players ever. As egocentric as he is, it is usually interesting to watch him play.

  • "i wish he hadn't shown it..."

  • THE RERAISE PREFLOP AND THE BET ON THE SECOND STREET JUS REAKED OF A BIG PAIR N IT'D BE QQ OR AA YOU WOULD JUST HAVE TO SIT THERE N LOOK AT HIM AND GO WITH YOUR GUT INSTINCT I'D FOLD EASILY

  • phil hellmuth is such an egocentric loser, I can't stand listening to him speak

  • the old guy thinks " fuck my life, i wont be going to value town anytime soon" lolol

  • loololololololooooolllloolollolollllololoololollllolololooolololololllolololl

  • Well and That's Phil's insurance he will Never get shown another hand at the Wsop again....

  • by the title I can guess it will be phil hellmuth

  • Respect.

  • An insane fold, and as dorky as it sounds, it's a hell of a cool little soundbite

  • "I can dodge bullets, baby."

  • is this minecraft?

  • Regardless of what you may think of him personally Phil has been one of the most entertaining players on the tv tournament circuit.

Yeah, he can be a bit of a slime, but if I know he's going to be in a YouTube clip, on High Stakes Poker, Poker After Dark, or a WSOP broadcast I'm much more likely to watch.

So thanks, Phil, for keeping us entertained.

  • seven Teeeeeen YEARS

  • people on youtube need to fuck off analysing phils play, hes a genius already so be quiet

  • pure fucking box

  • what a laydown

  • Phil used to dodge bullets, then he took an arrow to the knee...

  • Ok, you can dodge bullets, but you can't dodge Q10 :)

  • @heartbreakerpoker yeah at least he doesnt call with Q10 like a donk, so fuck off

  • 240p. we meet again

  • old guy fcked his life by checking flop now phil is scared of AQ QQ AA not only AA :P

  • i would have gone broke on that hand

  • that dude should not have bet 10 000, if he bets pot sized - 6-7k, phil would call that every time.

  • 1:15

Herp derp, I didn't know Aces full of fours beats Quad fours.

  • @Nondo Yeah, they tend to use "the nuts" quite loosely.

  • Yeah i was thinking myself actually, `phil is deliberately talking shit to you to make you speak so he can look at you and get some tells," the more the guy spoke, the more i thought,` don't speak.' ah well...it was a good lay down by the Pro.

  • I would have "acted" strong on the flop (hoping phil would have something). When I saw strength from helmuth, I would have slow-played then jammed the river lol.

  • I bet he rehearsed that line in front of a mirror many times... You gotta love this guy...

  • What a idiot that amature. He did everything wrong there! He talked to Phill, He overbet the pot and you can see that he has trips or a fullhouse

  • no matter how much he bitches or complains, he is the greatest NL tourny player of all time.

  • **** all u P.H. haters....hes a better NLHE playa than 99,5% of u morons ever will be....but hate on u azzlacks

  • if he knew it was a full house why did he say he wanted to see his opponents' hand. he should have just said no, i don't want to see, i know you have me beat.

  • Hellmuth had no clue he made a good lay-down until the guy showed him his cards. What a blowhard.

  • how long is she married with him? "seven-teeeeen years" lol

  • poor wife! in such great embaressment...

  • lol what an arragont twat.

  • phil had the wrong read....he was putting the other guy on QQ....em sure phil would not hav folded any bet on flop

  • @usman2009198 or AQ , so all he was beating was AJ or an unlikely pair of cowboys, and was only splitting with another ak. Still a good fold though.

  • yeah .... you dodge bullets and then you walk into a howitzer!!!

  • that guy played that TERRIBLY

  • @XvxGOODMUSICxvX other than overbetting the turn and most importantly TALKING to phil hellmuth, i don't know what you mean. :-)

  • @YouCanCallMeAl1022 First of all- when you have the nuts- you shut your mouth- instead of being all excited like a donk- 2nd- you bet the flop, very small- then check the turn- then bet slightly above at the river- phil would have believed he was ahead- and perhaps even raise- if he raises- pretend you bluff by putting a small re-raise. Could have easily doubled up if that moron wasn't a total donk.

  • @XvxGOODMUSICxvX uhhhhh---i was totally being sarcastic dude.

  • F*CKIN' IDIOT... anyone can fold AK... i think...i know i can easy against full house

  • serious, thats such a good laydown. dont know what their stacks are like exactly, but not calling down there with top pair top kicker even after one bet its crazily good.

all the other famous top pros seem to constantly own him anyway but this is still a sick laydown in my eyes

  • this guy is so easy to read god

  • he would've got busted there if ivey or dwan would've played the bullets

  • @MackVirus888 dwan was like 18 at the time so lol

  • i hope phil can read all these comments...maybe that will humble him a little bit and stop acting like such a baby...

  • Dodged one after years of getting hit?

  • If only that guy had C-bet, Phil would have really gone broke, never putting him on the other 2 aces

  • @skearo75013 I agree. At least he would have won more money, probably not gone broke. The C-bet would have helped there. And he should not have engaged Phil in conversation.

  • This is such an easy fold, lol

  • @sk8rdaniel Really how is that an easy fold? You would have shoved you fucking donkey

  • @fsulover100 this is how hes different to the rest of the world ;)

  • @fsulover100 and then got hollywood called haha

  • good laydown

  • if he was bluffing phil hit the floor crying

  • @tinywentz yeah obv

  • I hope you can't dodge this one!

  • Legend Phil. What a legend

  • imagine the two 4´s wouldn´t been in the flop. mr helmuth had reraised him all in... lol for sure!

  • @werkannderwird of cours not Phil knows his opponent hasn't got a 4 he don't care about the two 4 fish

  • Philly Phil put him on queens not aces (post flop), but preflop Phil made the decision that he was going to lose the minimum based on his read AA,KK,QQ, all signs led to that, verbal raise, old timer, odds of bluffing next to none, and so forth, the check on the flop verified to Phil that he had no aces, but the queen on the turn verified to Phil that he had queens,

Phil said "full house" not "I knew he had aces" it was just a bonus that it was aces,

  • he tries to act weak by shrugging before he bets, I think that gave it away.

  • his wife has degree in child psichology. how appropriate.. but we all feel hellmuth

  • Comment removed

  • im a phil hellmuth hater, but this is a great laydown.

  • Hahaha, Hellmuths opponent is such a big donk

  • @Kajjeh How?!

  • phils winning

  • pretty sure phil wasnt getting away from this if the guy bet the flop. Phil woulda reraised and been toast thinking he had the same hand or the other guy had aq. Hard and agressive and this coulda went all in on the flop, phil wouldnt have dodged the bullets then.

  • with that voice, frank is the ultimate godfather. " you checka me, i check you. classic!!!!!!! sounds like he could have phil wacked with one phone call.

  • That nose licker over there busted phil that year! with crazy mid pair :P

  • That guy should not have the check mark on the flop since there was possibility for quads 4... Correct me if im wrong.

  • @LaughSoMuch the check mark is applied to the %100 winning hand that is contesting the pot. In this case, there was no possible way for him to lose to Phil unless he folds. Quad 4's could beat him you're correct, but very hard to put him on that hand and obviously as we see Phil doesn't have it. Hence the check mark beside the opponents name.

  • @LaughSoMuch checkmark means you cannot lose the hand, he can only win or tie(very small chance)

  • 2:54 FTW

  • Amateurs always start talking to their opponents when they have a good hand and they sound so confident. The guy is probably an old nit and now he reraises pre, then says "you check dark... i check" with a sheepish voice. Would he say that with an underpair or AJ? Q hits and he bets 10k into a pot of about 6k. He would not need to bluff that big. The only reason is to get max value from AA or AQ. And then the talking. At best PH was splitting vs AK. Tough fold but one that others could do too.

  • You gotta be fair, this is Phil's one good soundbite in between decades of unbearable noise.

  • @VicenzoV lol

  • i honestly think phils personality and demeanor is all set up in the interest of ratings and revenue.. no way someone could be this arrogant.. he's pure entertainment...

  • @simpsons4life333 jeez was it that hard to tell which guy i was talkin about

  • that guy's friends should remind him to stick to home games and not 10k buyin tourneys

  • this is a lesson NOT to talk to professional poker players while involved in a hand.

  • @mpdp85 very true

  • I love how some of you man are acting like this is an easy lay down! What jokers! Even against the tightest of ranges this is difficult! Hellmuth is a muppet, dont get me wrong, but most of you man are going broke there! make me laugh lol

  • checkin the nuts... hmm 44? omfg

  • omg... although he won the most bracelets, hellmuth is one of the saddest players among the pros...

being proud of dogding these "bullets" (which were more like farts in a hurricane, because that guy was easier to read than a picture-book), makes him look more a dumb fool instead of a pro-player....

  • simply very bad play from amature:

    1) don't overbet pots in such situations, 1/2 bet should be enough to look like a steal and induce the check raise with the hand or got a value for two streets from A

    2) don't talk with pro, you just giving up all sorts of tells

    3) don't ever show your cards, it just verifies his tells upon you

  • @usun3 N1

  • @usun3 my friends follow all these rules, and i just play my style which is retarded and wrong in their opinion. But for some reason i always win. Pretty much whatever i get i look like i just got AA where i fold or not.

  • @aleks9797 your style is LAG, loose aggressive. LAGs win when they get lucky, and win alot, but they also lose quickly... their chip stacks usually go up and down very quickly... good players will tighten up and only call you when they know they have you beat.

  • @TheGreatReprobate Good lag's know how to have selective aggresion. This means that they aren't spew monkeys. The put the pressure on you having alot of non-showdown winnings. And when they get to the river, they overbet it with either the nuts or air. Then you'll make the hero call with te AKs because you nit's can't lay that down and he show's 2 pair A4s on a A4xxx board and you wine about how bad they are. Knowing you put in the money /w 20% equity OTF. :)

  • @EddyCutting nits might not lay that down, but most good TAGs I know would.. calling with only top/top against all-ins especially loose players isn't something I do often... just let them over bet, win the smaller pot and call them when they pull that with inferior aces up. not saying I'm TAG.. most of my wins are in nonshowdown pots and my range is much higher than a nit's... just saying LAGs typically fluctuate more .. and very few players are good LAGs.

  • @usun3 actually no i thought it was played perfectly reraising phil preflop everyone knows phil has a tight image so phil had to put him a really big hand checking the nuts on the flop then overbetting the turn to make it look like a rookie bluff ...i thought it was played well but thats just me

  • if your playing vs a good player he will never overbet the pot there with a hand that doesnt beat AK. AQ QQ or AA is the guys range. hes never doing that with KK or JJ.

For sure its a good laydown, but not like "how many people in the world are going to dodge that?"

  • @imocampo Yes, but Phil is a dick.

  • say what you want about phil, this is an amazing laydown

  • Best quote in poker

  • How many people in the world would lay down top pair with a paired board and a huge turn bet? Plenty of people, I've done it plenty of times. Get over yourself man.

  • I don't care what any youtube poker pros say about this guy, he's 1000 times better than any of them. This is a great lay down.

  • i wonder if he would have shook his hand if he called and got owned...such a two faced asshole

  • Such a classic. You got to love Hellmuth's character.

  • @haroonKS You sound pretty good buddy, you should have about 3 bracelets at the moment am I right? Is that on the money?

  • Phil Hellmuth should go fuck a dog

  • say what ya want about Hellmuth, he's fuckin sick at poker

  • honey-honey........ i can dodge A4 BABY ;p;p;p;p;p. fcn joke. gf btw

    grrrrrrrr

  • "you dont think i knew he had a full house? I Knew..." yea right phil keep dreaming....

  • @Noctis411 Why else would he fold that hand?

  • he is an idiot lol

  • that guy was portraying so much strength. whenever someone asks "how much is it?" (or a variation of that) they're almost always strong, esp. if they follow the question with a raise.

  • This thing is at the end of the day Phil actually makes the other guy on QQ... "I can dodge ladies baby"

  • That has to be the lamest quote ever.

  • after he folds 25 hands in row one of tham should be good laydown

  • @jiannj lmao

  • Good laydown, but not THAT impressive as he says.

  • @tadashimori

You're moving in here. SO hush

  • epic

  • Good laydown but the guy acted that he had a big hand all the way, pre-flop, check on the flop, big bet, lots of talking. Better to bet out on the flop and keep quiet.

  • One bullet dodged after 10 bullets hit him.

  • @jiannj totally true lol

  • @jiannj at least he can dodge one noob

  • @RickyAssadxD gagaga...

  • Wait a sec! I can't believe what I have just heard! Did Hellmuth say "NICE HAND"?! WTF? IS HE SICK?

  • @hannibaluspl

remember this was back in 2005 when internet poker players didnt rule the live games

  • even though this guy is a complete fish...still a real hard laydown to make...only two hands beat him...qq or aa

  • @lithium687 or 44, any 4, or AQ

  • @lithium687 44, and AQ. are two other hands the guy could have any 4 beats him really but you cant put the guy on any other 4 other than A4 or 44

  • @lithium687 AQ also

  • lol his wifes like

    'yeh.....thumbs up....

    sit the fuck down.'

  • The best fold I've seen was when Chuck Norris laid down a Royal flush to Phil Ivey's Yahtzee! (AAAAA)

    \

    \

If you want to see a video of the rare Yahtzee (5 of a kind) check out the video "Royal flush gets OWNED"

  • @jstred256 i lol'ed

  • the jacks full vs kings full fold was the best fold id seen. this is okay compared to that.

  • Solid read.

  • the guy that had the aces played it so bad min raise pre and the over bet on the turn both scream monster its only a good fold not a great one

  • @euripidies456 ur an idiot

  • OK, I have to chime in. This is a pretty good lay down. However, Phil most likely did not put him on AA. There are several other hands Phil put him on, including the one he said "Queens full". Any 4 would also be bad and, even more likely, he thought he was up against AQ. I love the quote "I can dodge bullets" and all that, but several other hands had him beat. Also, this old guy could have been the tightest player ever in the preceding 200 hands. Love Phil though.

  • he s incredible!

  • Wooooow. He's bragging about a fold that was too easy to make. Not that A's up with an additional pair is an easy hand to fold in its own, but the guy's attitude along with his plays practically screamed three of a kind or full house.

God mother fucking damn cock fuck!! I hate Hellmuth!! I hate him shiiiiat!!!

"How many people in the world could dodge that hand? I'm fuckin' Superman. Hail my greatness." Jesus Christ I hope he accidentally slits his wrists with his cards one day.

  • @ManicRevelation hahah all this anger towards hellmuth, just shows that his act is working, this is all put on in the poker scene to get to his opponents, same as tong g

  • @kamakarzie99 I'm pretty sure his act is legit. I've just heard too much of Hellmuth to stand him. I feel like he's the kind of guy I would accept sitting at a table with on a good day and would like to punch out on a bad day. He's so pompous but in an adorably stupid way.

  • Hellmuth is a great player, but this is not an other-worldly laydown.

  • the pokerfuckwit

  • That old guy made his hand so obvious. It was a good fold but not that amazing of a fold

  • @MrBigBadBobby I think its a little better than good. The announcers make it seem like he has been playing with the goods all day. So I kind of see what you mean. Seeing 4th street makes it easier to fold, but great fold nonetheless. I know some great players who aren't pro's, and i think 7 out of 10 make that call. I truely believe he folds because, of what the announcers mention, of what Phil has seen from the player before.

  • this is not at all a monster laydown. its a very good laydown, but i think most above average semi-decent players would fold here. there is literally 0 possibility that this guy is bluffing with his min 3bet preflop(EPraiser and EP3bet are the big clues here as well) and ridiculous overbet on the turn and it is verrry verrry unlikely hes making that play with AJ (hes probably folding this hand preflop to EP raise)- best case scenario is he also has AK.

  • nice one phil

  • the guy misplayed his Aces on every street

  • @shanedoanisracist dont really think you can bet on the flop. its a weird spot though because of the dark check and the min-raise preflop- checking there seems super super strong. if he bets there, helmuth will at least call for sure though, this is true.

  • helmuth's opponent made some big mistakes. not such a great play

  • "how long has hse been married to him?" "seven-teen-years........." LOL

  • @mellettolag Well he's loaded, and a assume he must have a big cock....cos you would have to be pretty much a saint to deal with him every day lol....

  • @mellettolag yeah, shes crazy or smthing, no 1 could stand him, even a saint.

  • Well, it was kinda obvious with the donk betting 10k on 6-7k pot...

  • Phil's opponent on this hand did so many things wrong that I don't even know where to start.

OK--let's start with the fact that he engaged in a VERBAL conversation with Phil during the hand! Then he bet 10 K into a 7K pot where if he'd bet 5-6K as someone had already commented earlier, then that lay down would've looked up impressive for sure. After the opponent's voice quivered some more, to top everything else off, he haddd to show Phil the nuts. WTF was he thinking.

  • @YouCanCallMeAl1022

    shut up

  • @YouCanCallMeAl1022 Don't tap the glass.

  • @YouCanCallMeAl1022 Totally agree with you. He had either to stfu or bet less. And yep you can't let Hellmuth feel good.

Maybe he just respects Phil and the good read.
