yeah, but that's how it goes - the standard music the orchestra had been given to play for any award that went to A Chorus Line was "What I Did For Love", which happened to be Priscilla's number - it's not like they could switch to "At the Ballet" for Kelly or "Music & the Mirror" when Donna McKechnie won.

Yes! It's so funny to watch the expression on her face, and she turns to Bob Fosse and points at the monitor. They used to make mistakes like that a lot (look at my clip of Sammy Williams winning, when they announce his name, they cut to a woman!)

Actually, the word on the street was that Prscilla was going to win because she played the most vulnerable sympathetic character in the show, next to Donna. Even Michael Bennett called Kelly Bishop and said, "How're you doing? Priscilla's going to win."

They even placed seated Priscilla closer to stage than Kelly, but alas Kelly won!
