  • They were awesome - somehow, I don't know how, I managed to get seats right in the very front row, right in the middle.

    It was a magic night..

  • Peru lindo para siempre!!!!

  • This is more like it , they may not be best buddies but on stage the two are unbeatable , best duo ever......!!!!

  • Klasse!!!#

  • soy mexicano pero que hermosa melodía PERUANA!!!!

  • are they Humans? or Angels? - Black Jack

  • I'd rather be a sparrow than a snail. Yes I would. If I could, I surely would. I'd rather be a hammer than a nail. Yes I would. If I only could, I surely would. CHORUS Away, I'd rather sail away Like a swan that's here and gone A man gets tied up to the ground, he gives the earth its saddest sound, its saddest sound. I'd rather be a forest than a street. Yes I would. If I only could, I surely would. I'd rather feel the earth beneath my feet, Yes I would. If I only could, I surely would.
  • Tambien Simon and Garfunkel sacaron el tema "Duncan" basado en motivos incaicos

  • Tambien Simon and Garfunkel sacaron el tema "Dubçncan" basado en motivos incaicos

  • gracias PERU!!

    ORGULLOSAMENTE PERUANA!

  • I'd rather stomp my feet than clap my hands__ YES I would__ IF I could__ I surely would__

  • Thanks for this posting.

  • I wish I could off went

  • First comment ^^. This song is just...perfect!!!!

  • I saw the "Old Friends" tour in 2003; this performance brings back memories of that day for me. I'm glad they did it again in 2009; Art sounds in great voice here, so hopefully he can get over his vocal problems and they can resume the tour in 2011!

  • oh, and its still a great song

  • lol. i love seeing all the comments where ppl are saying how they ruined this song. its hilarious how they call Simon and Garfunkel "Robers".....if you're going to insult someone using text format atleast spell it right :L:L

Technically tho they didnt steal the song. When Paul Simon heard it, the group that he heard singing the original version said that they could sing it and that it was their song. It was more a misunderstanding than blatant copyright....

  • what a tune

  • ROBERS, ROBERS, ROBERS

  • wow they really screw up the original song from Perú, the lyrics make no sense. This song is Peruvian and the original lyrics have a real meaning specially when it is played by our native Americans. They raped this song.

  • @TengoNoNombre

    u s*ck

  • What a song writer.

  • Super song:))

  • I'd rather be a sparrow than a snail Yes I would, if I could, I surely would I'd rather be a hammer than a nail Yes I would, if I only could, I surely would Away, I'd rather sail away Like a swan that's here and gone A man gets tied up to the ground He gives the world its saddest sound Its saddest sound I'd rather be a forest than a street Yes I would, if I could, I surely would I'd rather feel the earth beneath my feet Yes I would, if I only could, I surely would
  • ¡Por Fin! Melodia y Letra ORIGINAL en AVIRUKA!

  • That was really a nice performance.. Like it so much !!

  • maravillosa maravillosa mi condor pasa...

  • 666Alester, just because a song is 40 years old, doesn't make it a bad song. There's a lot of stuff I like that's actually pushing it. Music does not follow the same upgrade cycle as your computer :)

  • A song from 1970?? Ok, then it is 40 years old??? Yes, i like the music for a while, but not for 40 yrs!! Is american music industry so poor, or can't the rest of the world get through?

  • I'd rather be a hippie, than make sense...Yes I would...If I could...and...wear a hood

    I'd rather kill a hippie, than a deer...yes I would...And I should...with a piece of wood

(- Or how about: With my foot, wearing wood)

(- That don't even make sense, man...)

(- Just shut the f...shut up and go with it...and stop hogging the ether! Right, here we go)

I'd rather be a plunger, than a head......

    (- wait, no I wouldn't...or would I?...)

    (- this is hard)

  • love it

  • Interesting song from 1970, made famous by Simon & Garfungle. Thankyou for sharing this updated live version, it's just too bad the auduo isn't the best. lol

  • awesome...wish i can attend the concert...i was at melbourne that day not sydney unfortunately hahaha

  • VIVA EL PERU CARAJO

  • can anyone tell me what instrument makes that oriental noise during the intro? sounds like a hybrid of a banjo and something

  • could be a charanga

  • it's a charango

  • Hi, that sound is not oriental it's an andean mountains sounds it was played with "charango"(strings) and flutes but with "zampoñas" sound better the song is called "el condor pasa" is a traditional song from Peru you can search it in youtube. S&G made an excellent and unforgettable cover.

  • @alexw1981w its called charango or quirquincho and yes looks like a small banjo

  • Tone your language Sean fuckface.
