nice axe man! Jerry Garcia used that exact guitar in 66-67.... amazing sound. listen to the first album of the Grateful Dead with that psychedelic fillmore poster cover from '67. music at one of its finest moments!
@joebalum Thanks. I made it myself. Cut a piece of 5 ply would into a half circle originally when I used 20+ pedals at once ( I loved to make noise haha). I since cut that in half. It is painted black and I placed velcro on the entire board.
I just got the sister guitar to that one. It's a 1965 from the Hoboken factory. It's got the exact same finish too.
It's a really lovely guitar and I'm extremely happy with it. I paid more than you did but the price didn't seem out of line with what I saw on ebay. I'd say you got a great deal on yours.
I have one exactly like it except it's a later model made in Westerley, RI. Also have a Guild X-170 Manhattan and a GAD-50 (Chinese made acoustic). I wouldn't trade a Guild for two post-1965 Gibsons. I owned an ES-135 (1999 vintage) and sold it after playing a Guild. My acoustic gets as much or more use than my Martin D-28. I bought an ES-335TDC in 1964 but sold it when I got married (should have kept the guitar and got rid of the woman). lol.

Awesome, awesome guitar. But you're totally doing it a disservice by not using that beautiful Fender amp back there. Plug it up!
