So let me see if I have this right. Multi-national corps. who have destroyed this country by moving all their production to China in order to maximize executive profit are good and Unions whose sole reason for existence is to protect the worker from corporate abuses are what's bad for the country and it's economy. Ok, now I got it.
Media Matters is MARXIST. Funded by George Soros, its only interested in pushing its liberal globalist agenda into a one world governance. These marxist worship Obama and hate anyone who disagrees. They are racists and haters bent on spreading lies and hate. Media Matters for America? No, only for the progressive elites. Spread this message around
This is really simple. It's "the Employee Free Choice Act". The key word there is CHOICE. If they want a union, they CHOOSE to vote for it. They can CHOOSE how to vote on it. They can CHOOSE to vote against it. This act simply gives workers better CHOICES. Why do the right wing pundits have such a problem with people having CHOICES?
Obama's administration- defined by Webster: Fascism- a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition.
a lot of negative comments.... the title says fear monger??? Jim Cramer is an commentator...his opinions are his... freedom of speech isn't fear mongering
@TheMarketAssassin fear mongering is telling half truths and lies in order to create fear and panic so you can become more powerful and make money. People have the right to be fear mongers but it doesn't make it right. Just cause he has a right to spread fear and panic, it still means he's a scumbag liar.
Mike Barnacle got it partly right. Unions are in for the "Monthly Dues", the Weekly Work Assessment" & most importantly for the 'PENSION & ANNUITY FUNDS". Simply think of the Godfather Pic's wherein the Mob goes legit.
Union Carpenters lose 67% of Gross Wages directly to Federal & State Taxes & Union Deductions. The International & Regional Councils are run by inept, incompetent fools w/o an ounce of Business Acumen and/or experience. Oh yeah, they also took away our Right to VOTE them in/out.
You want American's to work for the lowest amount possible AND YET CEO's walk away with multi million dollar bonuses! AND all three of you support that because somewhere down the line you get your palm greased for talking down unions. You are all what is wrong with this world.
Obama lent money money to kramers mad money station and they told him to shut up or he is fired. After he said Obama is ruining the wealth of the country. Go see the movie the Obama deception for free on youtube or google. I had nightmares. After watching it even voting is a waste of time. No matter who wins nothing changes.
That is because you are a scared piss poor excuse for an American with way to much time on your hands.
Alex Jones is a fraud so change the record. I know it, you know it, and most of America doesn't take AJ seriously because we are not buying what he is selling.

this is ridiculous. no one make these poor people work for the big bad corporate companies for scrap wages. no one makes them! it is there choice. if you really think its a bad deal why don't you hassle the people who buy these companies goods and services. never understood why you see pickets against wal-mart and not the thousands of people walking in and out.
Because company greed by taking away money from americans. Fire 50 americans and the guy stakes the money he saves as a bigger paycheck. people like that need to be killed.
its not fear mongering if there is actual reason for fear. But i don't expect liberals who support the spending bills to understand economic principles
Aside from the obvious use of unions as a response to a company mistreating its employees and "successful companies" being those that outsource labor to ACTUAL communists and slavers, let's look at some evil union employees:
Teachers, actors, pilots, postal workers(primarily veterans), nurses... the list goes on, mostly populated by the backbone of our country. The Forbes top 10 for 2009 is mostly bankrupt (GM) and oil (you pay whatever they want).
God forbid Americans are paid a living wage. That would slow down the concentration of wealth in the hands of the top 1% The Nazi shut down all the unions for same reason the Republicunts want to... Tyrannical Power tolerates no opponents.
nothing at all, you think union workers aren't at work by the time morning joe is on. and you actually think Mad Money's demographic is blue collar jerk offs who would realize if they wanted actual job security they would get more education?
Actually, higher education has failed thousands in this country.
Employers don't want just someone with higher education, they want someone experienced too. Also there isn't enough jobs for every single educated person in this country
There are thousands of people with their degrees ending up flipping burgers and working at WalMart to pay off their student loans for the rest of their lives, no matter how hard they try to find a job with that degree.
hahahahhahaha whatever you say. look at the jobless report (if you know what that is) that comes out every week, it isn't white collar people that are hurting it's people who think like you.....and you deserve everything you get
If you had an education you would know that there is a natural unemployment rate of about 6%. Without higher education these people would just be flipping burgers and stupid. I think anyone with any sense would choose education over ignorance any day.
but perhaps it can also be said that the education system here in america is a failing one. most people have to return to school twice, maybe three times in their lifetime which is incredibly unfortunate. let's be honest-- most of the people in our government have degrees and are just as ignorant as those that haven't pursued a secondary education.
yes education isn't a one time thing. Learning should be a life long experience. To think you know everything there is to know is ignorance in itself. Maybe the failure isn't the education but our view of knowledge as being static. a lot of things people learned in the 60-70s are barely relevant today, not because of bad education, but because advancement in our knowledge and technology. And there is no possible way someone with an education is as ignorant as someone without.
I'm in college right now and I work at walmart. Half the people I work with have a degree. In fact one of the guys I work with was hired to the job he got his degree for, he quit Walmart, then was called the next day and was told that he was no longer needed for that job.
They lie about the statistics to get you to spend the money. Education is a business now, not at all about learning. I chose education over ignorance too, the problem is many of the people providing it are abusing it for cash.
Then the problem is the corporatism (sp?) of the education system. I can agree with that. I just don't see why that's the Unions' fault. If that's your point.
I guess that electricians, law enforcement officers, firefighters, airline pilots, screen writers, Aerospace workers, professional engineers, and nurses are not educated as well?
Those who can't do teach, those who didn't want to apply themselves became police or firefighters. Airline pilots are educated but they strike more often than the UAW. Screenwriters AHAHHAHAHA (you should retract that) Profesional Engineers (which I am) take an oath when passing their tests to NEVER be part of a union for the simple fact that engineers make the world a better place and it is unethical to hold inovation hostage for self bettering
GE is a unionized company and its regularly on the forbes top U.S. companies list. Plus, GM didn't go bankrupt because of unions, they went bankrupt because they had shitty cars and their "innovation" resulted in the Hummer, whereas everyone else was becoming more fuel efficient, cost effective, and environmentally friendly.
really? it was the strikes every year for extremely high undeserved pay rates with no rise in company revenue...you are like a obama and can't do simple math. If you take more out then you have coming in, YOU GO BANKRUPT. If their cars barely sold, at an avg. price of $15k then they had to raise the avg. cost to $25k to make ends meet because of union wages. They sell no cars and go bankrupt. get an education before you talk to someone of my intelligence, you are inferior
Wow, if you actually were a professional engineer your wouldn't be making things up about the Fundamental Canons of Engineering. Quit talking out of your ass! There is no "Oath" that prevents you from being part of a union. Innovation is not held hostage when you seek to provide a better work environment and pay for your fellow engineer. An engineer who is overworked, under-payed, and under too much pressure from management is likely to sign off on work that may jeopardize the public.
Costco (not entirely unionized, but that gets at another issue, which is how many companies have important divisions or subsidiaries which may be heavily unionized, while other elements of their business are not)
CSX, BNSF, Norfolk, (the nation's other major railroads also remain profitable and heavily unionized)
Yeah, basically, people on TV can say whatever BS they want and nobody will call them on it. It's ridiculous. I'll bet there are lots of people who now believe that there are no successful unionized companies, just because they heard some TV guy tell them so.
wow all those 10 companies vs the HUNDREDS and THOUSANDS of non-unionized companies that are as successful. quit leaving out information, those companies didn't start with unions they were formed once that had the revenue to pay the wages. Union fucks are simply stupid and think revenue is a given
If people want to live in a feudal system and work for pennies on the dollar then maybe they should look for another country. Its funny how most of the people who bitch about unions make six figure salaries to start with.
what was that about the melted ice cream at the end? Oh the horror, poor Cramer once got to soft ice cream from a 'union' service in that cold Miami stadium. Maybe that explains his sadist stock picking.
"Why don't these damn workers drink some of our sponsor Starbucks' product so they can be more productive? What's that you say? Doing so would cost them almost an hours pay? And productivity has steadily increased for years while wages remain stagnant? Oh well. All praise Lord Ronald W. Reagan of Trickledownia, the second worst president in modern history behind George W. Bush!
Accept the scraps that fall from the tables of our Sovereign Lords. If God wanted us to have a living wage, we would have been born rich. Pull yourself up by your bootstraps & don't you dare organize against their God-give right to pay us nothing - I mean... first they abolished slavery and now THIS!! How are they expected to PROFIT if they actually have to pay us!! Our reward will come in Heaven.
Indeed. Who do these people think they are, interfering with the divine right of multinational corporations to pay workers subsistence slave wages?? Heresy! The sacred right of unchecked corporate exploitation shall not be infringed!
we need a national right to work law in this country. ge is losing money, msnbc is in the crapper. if it wasnt for microsoft they would have been history. non union auto workers in plants like honda, toyota are doing just fine. if you want to join a union fine but you shouldnt have to.
How has anybody ever been hurt by being expected to join a union? And how is being in a union repressive but living in a region where its basically impossible to organize a union is impossible isn't? A lot more people have been brutalized by company goons than ever suffered at the hands of the "union thugs".
Unions are all workers have. You can't get respect from management as a disconnected individual.
i live in texas where we are a right to work state. used to work where you had a choice to join a union or not.i did not because i did not want my dues to go to a party i did not believe in.{democrats}. i never said any of what you state. i believe workers should have the right to unionize as well as not have to join one. does that make sense?.
A tiny bit of research shows that this is ridiculous: NBC, the company which put on this program is unionized and successful. Then there's UPS and General Electric They are both making a ton of money. Google, and you will find lots more. Let us not forget, also, that the vast economic expansion after World War II was done with unionized workers.
Man (some of) you americans are screwed up and all of you are screwed.., unions are the most natural thing there is.. you most have some balance against corporate power.
GOOD. Fuck the Walton family. People who actually make things are the people who actually drive the economy. I'd like to see this douche last five minutes in a GM plant.
Jim Cramer has no credibility I dont even know why they have him on. With the passage of the Employee Free Choice Act Americans will be able to have a say in their employment for wages, healthcare and retirement. Unions have built this country. Its the employers and republicans like Joe Scarborough who have tried to brainwash people into think that people are better off on their own against the boss at raise time. With a Union comes a voice that must be listened to.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Unions broght down the car businesses and should be the last to reap any benefits by any bailouts. In my estimation there is no longer any need for Unions in certain situations and Companies.
Actually Bruce, inept management practices, a culture of greed rather than one of scientific progress and technological innovation, lack of long-term vision, pervasive religious belief in the slave economics of so-called "free trade," poor product quality, and an undue focus on their financial divisions rather than their core manufacturing competencies - these are the things which have destroyed the automakers.
Yeah, Walmart's the business model we want all of America to adopt!!!
Whatever happened to idealizing a family business where everyone owned a part of the company, everyone cared for each other and took care of each other?
Now they want us to idealize a huge company, with rich CEOs, well-payed lobbyists, and the rest of the workforce being paid minimum-wage, when they should be retired, but they're working to pay for their medication. In the meanwhile, Walmart buys all products from China.
Yeah, you definitely don't want to cede any power to workers. Keep cutting their wages, keep cutting their benefits, keep demanding they work extra hours with no pay.
Union busters spreading fear and idiocies on the air... And, as far as I am concerned, predatory businesses like Walmart can go to hell ( if it exists..)
That is the idea jimmy boy. Cut the profit margin which goes to the top 2% and give people a raise.

"Name a successful unionized company"
Try GE, Joe. You know, the company that owns NBC-Universal, which owns MSNBC, who keeps your sorry ass on the air.
Google: 'successful unionized company'
You'll get about 699,000,000 hits. Sorry - I haven't had time to go through them all, but if you did, you'd come up with a pretty good list.

remember Jon Stewart ripping him apart on his show? I do and I will never forget

God forbid workers not work for slave wages. We have to make sure 0.1 percent of the country has 50 percent of the wealth.
JustAManInAMask 2 years ago 3
A tiny bit of research shows that this is ridiculous: NBC, the company which put on this program is unionized and successful. Then there's UPS and General Electric They are both making a ton of money. Google, and you will find lots more. Let us not forget, also, that the vast economic expansion after World War II was done with unionized workers.

"Unions are gaining unprecedented power"
GOOD. Fuck the Walton family. People who actually make things are the people who actually drive the economy. I'd like to see this douche last five minutes in a GM plant.

Does anybody still take Jim Cramer seriously after his debacle afterJon Stewart.
awmartin1970 2 years ago 10
nope
Propagandhi900 2 years ago 4
Jim Cramer has no credibility I dont even know why they have him on. With the passage of the Employee Free Choice Act Americans will be able to have a say in their employment for wages, healthcare and retirement. Unions have built this country. Its the employers and republicans like Joe Scarborough who have tried to brainwash people into think that people are better off on their own against the boss at raise time. With a Union comes a voice that must be listened to.

It's strange how people separate Unions from the workers. If you attack the unions, you're just attacking the workers they represent.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Unions broght down the car businesses and should be the last to reap any benefits by any bailouts.

I respect your very intelligent response. But this MMFA is a waste of server space. Thank you.

Costco...successful and has great prices!
You get just as good a deal as you get at MalWart, and you get decent good that weren't made by slave labor in a police state.

Myschly 2 years ago 6
Yeah, you definitely don't want to cede any power to workers. Keep cutting their wages, keep cutting their benefits, keep demanding they work extra hours with no pay.
Snark.

Union busters spreading fear and idiocies on the air... And, as far as I am concerned, predatory businesses like Walmart can go to hell ( if it exists..)
Francebrasil 2 years ago 12
it doesn't, but I am with you.
HugeJohn51 2 years ago
Which doesn't exist? Hell, or MalWart? And if they both exist, which is worse?
KennBurch 2 years ago
maybe walmart IS hell?
HugeJohn51 2 years ago
Y'know, you never see MalWart and Hell in the same photograph.
