I think the guitar was the bad bit, the vocals were actually pretty good boss, you have a nice tone in your voice. It looks like a Taylor, would have sounded great if you had picked it. Think you should have a bit more confidence about your singing, even if some of those high notes need tight pants!!
Yeap, it's a big baby taylor. Thanks for the positive feedback. That's good to hear from a James Morrison fan. Amazing artist there. I'm just a rythm player for the most part. I can pick songs out, but I haven't got the whole singing, while picking one out down. It's much more difficult than just chording and singing. Again thanks for the positive feedback! Hopefully I can at least get back up to 4 stars.
Have you been playing long? Don't hate me if I am wrong but was it about a year when you posted this? Picking is hard to start with but its' the same with everything on the guitar, practice, practice, practice and then when your done, practice again. You know when your getting better because your wife will be humming a little riff over and over!! When you can play without thinking you can start to sing, this song is good to start. Also I think your Jolene cover is the best you have posted.
Well I started playing back in 2000 I guess. I learned a lot quick, then left college, starting working, and really haven't progressed that much because I kind of lost intrest in it. The biggest reason for this youtube stuff was hoping it would make make me want to play again. No hate here pal. I appreciate the advise, and I agree totally about needing to practice. Jolene is a suprise though. I'm actually going to see Ray in concert tomorrow night. I would say that post was aroun 6 months.
Didn't mean to be rude about the guitar playing, but if you don't practice much then it would be hard to pick well. I've been playing for about 10 years and don't practice as much as I should, only reason I can pick well is because the songs I like to sing sound good when you pick the tunes. Looking forward to more posts
This is awesome! I love it. Check out my boyfriends, "sturgeball". I always sing along to his version. I love it!

The vocals. The guitar part is only a few chords. Amos lee is one of the best vocally, so it's always tough covering him.

are you referring to the guitar or the vocals being tough
