@Bulletpierce well, this scene takes place shortly after Eric is paralyzed. Then he comes to his senses later on. Think about it: you'd almost react the same. When you get pissed off, your fired up to take vengeance. But if you've been sitting around thinking about it, you're eventually going to change your mind. The movie works great with or without this scene.

I think its a pretty good scene sure the acting is pretty bad but it makes the brotherly bond between eric and kurt seem so much greater . It also shows that eric wants kurt to fight tong po unlike in the movie where it only seems a bit like eric is jealous .
