I don't go to shows thinking it's gonna be anything like their studio work, but that is just how I do it. Unless you're a plastic band there really is no way to sound as amazing as you can in a studio, live is supposed to be energetic and mistakes happen as a result. I'm sure that some folk out there expect studio sound and nothing less live, but it's all personal taste.

Kill em' all and Ride along with Anthrax's A fistful of Metal, Slayer's Hell awaits, Megadeth's Killing is my business and Exodus' Bonded by blood are classics. Puppets never fucking was. Metal hit a really shit period during the 90's when bands either changed their sound to ''psychedelic'' (Dokken, Extreme, Loudness, the Crue etc) or sold out to that fucking Grunge sound (Babylon A.D etc). But alas, in the late 90's real metal bands formed (Silent force, Primal fear, Brainstorm etc) and those who remained true metal emerged as forerunners ( Helloween, Annihilator, Gamma Ray, Exodus, Manowar etc).

That was a really bad album, and they failed to recreate the amazing standards set by 'a vulgar display of power'. @angels77100 First off, Kerry King is only a joke to anyone who cannot apreciate tremelo bar abuse, I used to hate his soloing, but after much listening they all fit Slayer's style of thrash. Secondly, Kerry King and Darrell Abbott were really good friends. In fact, the solos on the song Goddamn Electric are all done by Kerry. Who someone leaves their belongings to is their own choice, obviously Darrell had a reason to do it. I'm just glad he didn't give it to Ted Nugent... though Ted rocks.

@quinmantha666 I have also seen them live, and I loved it. I guess it all depends on what you expect of a band live. I don't go to shows thinking it's gonna be anything like their studio work, but that is just how I do it. Unless you're a plastic band there really is no way to sound as amazing as you can in a studio, live is supposed to be energetic and mistakes happen as a result. I'm sure that some folk out there expect studio sound and nothing less live, but it's all personal taste.

As for slipknot, they are totally different. Metallica are the original KINGS OF THRASH METAL ie:Kill em' all! With slayer not far behind. Hes almost like just a regular every day guy but just is famous and has loads of moola. He probably has a really good personality. I don't care if he may be overrated or not. He just has good riffs and he is built like your average person like how Zakk is built like an average person. I am 6'3" and weigh in at 270 lbs and I don't care. I work out lots but I am okay with my weight because I am built like an Offensive lineman.

@leonardfizzard Yeah this is actually from GUITAR WORLD DVD. I think. The kerry king signature marshall amp is pretty awesome. I actually don't own the amp but I have played through it. I do however own a KERRY KING signature B.C. Rich Flying V that is my main guitar, it is F-ing AWESOME.
