Does anyone else get very strong r.e.m.'s ? As soon as I start my eyeballs start to spasm. It feels good: relaxing and refreshing. I'm thinking of using very high watt full- spectrum incandescent, or maybe a grow- light. Any suggestions ?
I got very active rapid eye movements from another dream machine vid posted on youtube and sticking my face up to the monitor. I want a real one sooooooooooooo bad!
Hey, check out my dreamachine, let me know what you think,
Its a 78rpm one with a metal dreamachine cylinder. Also the you can fine tune the speed via the pitch thing this really helps for reaching those effects your talking about
Yes, it's a poor video - the flashes look about 5Hz, which would be too low. In reality, the flickers are faster and it has produced some nice visions.
Instructions to mak one are easily found on a web search. It's not difficult. The hardest thing is getting hold of a 78rpm record player. I couldn't find one cheap enough for me, so I modified the instructions slightly for a 45rpm turntable. Works just as well if you work it out right. I'm sure there are instructions on the web for a 45 anyway.
You're unlikely to find someone to buy one from, but eBay might be fruitful.
I had one very nice "dream" in which I was flying around a pyramid which had a waterfal cascading down one side. In another, I was climbing a spiral staircase. At the top, I had a remarkable feeling of someone watching me over my shoulder, which made me open my eyes and "wake up".
These impressive results are quite rare though. Usually, I would have a pleasant yet relatively boring vision of gemoetric shapes and colours, like a kaleidoscope.
make it loop for an hour ort so, so that i can have a go............... please
