Prop eight was just letting the PEOPLE decide whether or not they wanted it. Personally I think we should not be voting on it, it should just be there and people get over it. But that is the road they took it down and THE PEOPLE OF CA SPOKE! It wasn't a conspiracy. It was a vote for it or against it and CA voted against. Yes, the people of CA did speak, but my argument isn't against the outcome of the vote, it is against the reason for the vote in the first place. Like it or not, gay rights ARE civil rights. Yes because "marriage" is a religious thing. I am all about civil unions for both gay couples and atheists straight couples (they don't believe in god or religion so hey stay the hell out of my cermony). But like I said I think state and church need to be separate. Like if that church wants to marry a gay couple then let them if they don't that couple should not get mad because it is against their doctrine anyways. You can't impose gay marriage on religions.
