Wooten is the best technical bassist by far (with his double thumbing and harmonic runs and slides) but Jaco was a much better composer and bandleader, also i prefer Jaco's tone, timing, and his playing in general. Jaco and Mingus are my favorite on their types of bass because they were both great jazz musicians. Wooten comes in second on the electric though. Sorry for the long comment

Wooten is the best technical bassist by far (with his double thumbing and harmonic runs and slides) but Jaco was a much better composer and bandleader, also i prefer Jaco's tone, timing, and his playing in general. Jaco and Mingus are my favorite on their types of bass because they were both great jazz musicians. Wooten comes in second on the electric though. Sorry for the long comment
