To add to that, the whole band is now much older, therefore they will all slow things down a bit--To me they are still MANOWAR and are still better than alot of bands just starting out. I hate when people compare a singer just starting out to someone who has been doing it half their life-of course the younger one's voice will be stronger--but chances are they won't be around as long or be as successful.

Just to put things in perspective-when people think about a band that has been around, touring for 30 years, they forget that these people age as do the rest of us. So, Eric is now 55-56 years old so like any musician that has been touring for that long(especially a singer with a voice like his) its naturally going to weaken with age and the usage of 30 years of doing it. I don't get people that don't get that. Think about what your voice sounds like after one show of singing along.

The references to "fate" and "destiny" and paths being chosen by forces outside of ones control piss me off too but they are by no means new in Manowar's lyrics. Manowar has been singing about stuff like that since they started out. But, despite that, they also sometimes reference will and trying hard to acheive your goals.

@xSkraelingx Hm. I don't understand why it upsets you. If you'd explain it more for me so I can I'd appreciate that. But I think Manowar tries with this idea to reach out to several mythologies. In Norse mythology the Norns weave the fate or Wyrd of individuals, but we're also complete with our own Orlog from our actions and deeds. In addition to this some may believe that the gods do exert influence on us in some ways. For instance, the Havamal, or Odin inspiring the berserkers. *shrugs*

Sorry, but Manowar left ther great way since the album "Louder than Hell". I wish the would write their new songs mor in the style of the "Triumph of Steel" or "Hail to England" and not this garbage. But what will one expect with an Girl/pony-Hybrid as an guitarplayer. Ross the boss wouldn´t beat him in Speed but in great Musicwriting. I would love to hear one straight tune coming from Karls guitar!

@ThorgarBlutaxt Totally agree, they never return to sound like that way the used to Rock and punch the Heavy Metal to the Steel top, songs like Wheels Of Fire, Blood Of The Kings, Demon´s Whip, Burn, or Ride The Dragon I guess they won´t or they can´t yet do that again...But still love the way Manowar was and are not for today.
