There was a jury trial, he was found guilty. The judge made a statement at the end of trial that he had no right to do what he had done, and with his backround in criminial.justice field, HE KNEW BETTER. This is NOT a case of self defense! I don't know the facts surrounding this incident. I'm wondering if the man who was shot was armed with a weapon, if so, did the police find that weapon? I ask because it sounds as though the alleged crime scene was compromised by family &/or friends of the departed. During the 911 call, it sounded as though the caller said "this guys got a gun on me". I'm not accusing anything but it sounded like the brother picked up a "gun" & maybe removed the weapon from the scene before the police arrived.

I do not know about the person who did the act. Nor do I know about the "victim". But from what I can see from this call is it appears to be self defense. I don't know the facts surrounding this incident. I'm wondering if the man who was shot was armed with a weapon, if so, did the police find that weapon? I ask because it sounds as though the alleged crime scene was compromised by family &/or friends of the departed. During the 911 call, it sounded as though the caller said "this guys got a gun on me". I'm not accusing anything but it sounded like the brother picked up a "gun" & maybe removed the weapon from the scene before the police arrived.

the truth is, joel pulled a gun on an unarmed man, NOT SELF DEFENSE! I know nothing of this case, nor the story nor the town nor the little society where this came from but from what I can gather the shooter feared for his life and gave numerous warnings... and called 911 to let them know that he was fearful of his life. I do not know about the person who did the act. Nor do I know about the "victim". But from what I can see from this call is it appears to be self defense. Calling this murder is insipid in my personal opinion.
