It has the car strike at a bevel-edged pillar. In normal crash situations, the crash areas are much bigger, less edged than this one. Thus this is a very credible crash test. Safety First.
@danielalien who said the C30 electric is a hybrid??? FYI im not a "10yr old with a displacement-fetish" It is my opinion that the current hybrids are made in a unattractive way......BTW don't take my comment out of context that just makes you look like an ass
What do you mean they are unattractive, and who are YOU (who uses gay as a derogatory term) to decide what is attractive and not? I wanna hear what's unattractive/gay with hybrid technology.
@danielalien Seriously?? like i said "it is my OPINION that the current hybrids are made in an unattractive way" the physical body of the prius...are unattractive to me.....WTF is your problem kid? once again you take my comment out of context....you are so worked up over this whole hybrid deal im guessing you drive one
I wouldn't want to be involved in that sort of crash in my Lada... fortunately, I have a Volvo 965 as a primary runabout.
More importantly, this is a major breakthrough in electric car safety. I'm impressed by the ingenious battery placement and the structural rigidity of this very small car. The only thing that worries me is how the battery mounts are going to cope with rust over the years.

Did anyone every notice the smoke coming out of the roof at 0:17 ? What was that for ?
LoveTheCity123 1 year ago
@LoveTheCity123 It may be a duplicate of the pyrotechnic charge that engages the seat belt pre-tensioners (difficult to see in the B pillar).
Either that, or the Swedes have chosen a new Pope.

If this is 50 km/h... Imagine 100 km/h... Also, for every 10 km/h, the energy is exponentially increased....

@hjchamp04 Ummmm... The C30 Electric is not a hybrid. And secondly, why are hybrids gay? You sound like a 10 year old with a displacement-fetish.

@hjchamp04 And calling hybrids gay doesn't?

First one who commented!
This is a common accient,
I saw once a toyota pick-up crached in a light pole,
the pole got in the pasenger compartment, it was horrible!
good the volvo hold it! even if the engine is gone!
no wonder why it's the safest car in the world!
