We need a new stadium in Vancouver anyway, BC place is 25 years old. When I said "dreaded" Olympics i mean the face of the fact of over 5 million people in the lower mainland. we have 2 million plus now, and traffic and congestion is bad. Our city will never benifited from the Olympics, 2010 will mess up our beautiful city and area. Hellooooo. That roof is held up by air pressure. This video shows the beginning of the deflation. The entire roof came down within minutes after this due to a lack of air pressure needed to support it.

The inflated roof at a 60,000-seat stadium where the opening ceremonies of the 2010 Olympic Winter games will be held collapsed as heavy, wet sleet fell Friday. There was no event going on in the stadium and fire officials said no injuries were reported.

That vid is real, it wasnt a collapse it was a deflation of the worlds largest air supported dome, known as BC place, which is hosting the dreaded 2010 Winter Olympics. Which was opened in 1986 for Expo.
