  • just listen to a jewish person trying to sell you something then listen to bill do what his jewish boss tells him especially when he deals with subjects about israel

  • I think good old Bill was a bit intimidated by the docter. He is trying to hard to appear the victem of manipulation. He also tries to hard to reamain in control of the conversation, interrupting all the time. Maybe he is a little fearful of being revealed as a manipulator to the public by the good docter.

  • Yeah, Fox News should know all about manipulation....

  • Manipulation is a strength, just like being a asshole is a strength.

  • @alexman706 No, manipulation is the pretense of strength.

  • what da fuck why is it 57 degrees outside? it's march 2 it should be 70 degrees

  • Haha, the guy being interviewed can see right through O'Reilly.

  • This is an ironic topic, since right-wingers and fossil fuel producers are engaged in a devious manipulation of public perception on AGW by claiming the "science isn't settled" when it actually is (among legitimate scientists). Lots of under-educated and/or greedy people are buying into the massive ruse and it shows up in depressing opinion polls.

To Bill O'Reilly's credit, he's not a classic global warming denier, at least the last time I checked.

  • Bill doesnt sound like he knows what the hell is talking about.

  • Bill O'Reilly is soooo bad here at receiving this Doctor's expertise... He sooo proved trying to steal the show by minimizing the professional tips! He proved to be a manipulator!

  • you'd think they were talking about aliens haha.. 3:20

  • Step 1: Work for FOX

    Step 2: Done.

  • Bill definitely comes off as a narcissistic, manipulative person. Look how many times he tries to interrupt his guest.

  • Well, we know what Obama really studied in college. They say it was Constitutional Law, but we now know he knows nothing about it.

  • @norvman- you took the words right out of my mouth! And you could tell right at the end that's what the expert was thinking too!! Lol.

  • A rise? What rock has he been sleeping under? How does he think this country was formed?

  • The Bully Manipulator taking leasons about Manipulation...

  • @norvman my thoughts exactly!

  • Bill O'Reilly and Fox News addressing manipulation??? HYSTERICAL!!!

  • He perfectly describes MegaUpload and KIM-DOTCOCK

  • Boy, Bill O'Reilly sure does toot his own horn. He is really a step ahead of everyone, Isn't he?

  • this is to far fox news, this irony pisses me off more then bill orielly himself!

  • I wonder if there's a deeper reason why

    O'Reilly can't pronounce 'Manipulator',

or if he's just that stupid ...

  • Holy snapping assholes ! --Bill O-Reilly bitching about manipulators --O-Reilly is the biggest narcissist on TV -- and how bout his book-plugging --ass-sucking expert on the subject. I thought Dr George was gonna blow Bill there for a second. Its a good thing this happened on Fox --at least it was fair and balanced......ROFL

  • When I saw Bill O'Reilly I was laughing my ass off. He is the most manipulative person I ever saw on tv after Oprah lol

  • @RonaldBarone ......Well finally!!! someone else sees that OPARAH is a master manipulator all the other stupid people in the USA follow every word she says...only bc she is rich! she makes money out of other people's misery, and then gives gifts away for tax right-offs and people think she is GOD because of this...she sucks just like O Reilly

  • @glcast78 Now I know I am not alone ;-)

  • as if Fox news weren't manipulative itself....

  • bill o'reilley is a manipulative person

  • O'reillly is a fuckin idiot

  • @oneblueorange I think cunt describes him better

  • O'Reilly's learning about himself while being in denial talking as if he's a third person.

  • 57 people are manipulators.

  • O'REILLY HIMSELF IS A MASTER MANIPULATOR WITHOUT DIGNITY!

  • I just ignore them.

  • God, Bill O'Reilly, let the smart people talk

  • Most unintentionally ironic interview ever. This whole interview could be about Bill O'Reilly's behavior.

  • Oh my lord...Who's the author of the book. I'm confused.

  • Heheh, whenever someone tries some bs on me to get me to do something or give him/her answers or share something with him/her. I just stare at them and stare back at whatever I am doing and pretend to not know English. Works everytime. And it is funny to watch them beg and get desperate.

  • This is like Paula Deen doing a segment on diabetes.

  • Bill IS a manipulator. And so superior. Can't get over on him,

  • This guy gives me a headache.

  • wow! O'reily has outfoxed me with his words of wisdom!

  • "So when you ask a direct question, you should wait for a direct an-" "You know what they do..."

    I fucking died.

  • Look at Fox News, they are regarded as the manipulators of mass media. It's no wonder they are tactiful of doing so.

  • It may or may not be that manipulators are afraid to be confrontational, it just might be that it takes a certain approach to get a certain response (much like trolling). It also may not be that they are cowards, but they prefer to use safer methods of extracting responses or information before resorting to a direct approach (much like Sun Tzu).

  • Fox News putting manpulators down,Talk about the kettle calling the pot black.

  • Pointless interview. It amazes me that O'Reilly became as big as he did considering no one ever really gets to talk in his so-called interviews. In this segment Bill did most of the talking and the viewer was able to glean little about the author or any of the real content in the book.

  • @RazorFriendly Agree completely. This usually is a sign of an amateur journalist. I always feel that his guests end up being demeaned as a result --- they essentially are insulted by his interview style.

  • O'Reilly chill for awhile and let the man talk...at any rate interesting video, I am not a very manipulative person and have to watch my back around these men and women...they are life-suckers...I would have liked to hear more on the video, so maybe read the book eh? Don't know the best thing to say other than avoid them and avoid becoming them...you can read into it indefinitely but it still exists

  • I did not learn anything from this video bc that retard keeps interrupting.

  • 1:22 Trust me doc I never feel bad for confronting, but I have seen a rise in manipulative behavior in this country especially from the children. LOL! Isn't that an example of manipulation?

  • I was going to actually read this book years ago. I should of ordered it. I think i am going to focus on reading this book now. It sounds very interesting.

  • I have just been manipulated.

  • The biggest manipulator is in the video :D

  • i never realised how spot on colbert really is until this video. can o'reilly be serious? should we yell at them? there cowards? colbert is very accurate, this guy just borders on cartoonish.

  • Sounds like our secretary.

  • Oh chit ive read that book. Everyone must read it. If you read between the lines it will blow your mind.

  • how to get around a manipulative person.... violence :D, joke. they are usually very weak people which is why they try to get you on the defensive, because they can't handle criticism or not feeling in control. and when all else fails and you don't let them tell you you're wrong for standing your ground, they'll tend to go for the sympathy card, or just refuse to talk any more about the matter coz that's preferable to actually maning up and just admitting they were wrong.

  • @OmfgRoflYourFace True, I had a friend like that...who fit those characteristics completely...he got "cut off" in the end, after a few empty refrigerators

  • @OmfgRoflYourFace thats a dangerous misconception. They are not usually weak. They have very strong personalities. its not about handling criticism unless un les if you are dealing with a narcissist. but if you are dealing with a sociopath. They don't care what you say about them. They have no shame. Warning though when dealing with Narcissist, apposing them can be very dangerous sometime. I'm not saying do what they say but have to use words carefully.

  • Comment removed

  • @OmfgRoflYourFace there not weak, they are aggressive, but instead of using violence, they play with your mind. dumbshit.

  • bill o'reilly is 'a manipulative', u can c it here. he knows it. watch him deflect

  • Hahahah

  • O' the irony...

  • @AbsitReverentiaVero haha thats what I was thinking!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Damn, STFU O'Reilly.

  • NO a covert agressive personality ''the real thing''.No O'Reilly not a phoney, but you Bill O'Reilly.I think the Doc is talking to a meadia agrissive maipulator=the real thing!,notice how he tries to fill in the blanks for Doc as the Doctor even opens his mouth Bill pops in his mouth,he interpets for the very expert he invited on to his show.B.Reilly gives us his own take,I interview manipulators all h time is his byline, yeah rrealy Bill?.Like oh Michael More may be?No the maniputor is Bill!

  • A programme on Fox about manipulation....From one of the biggest manipulators in the public arena - Bill O'Reilly. I've seen it all now.

  • "Cowards, calculating. They're afraid to do the right thing. They're phonies. They're covertly aggressive. They want to get the better of you, but they don't want to be seen as doing so. " I think that's completely true. They try and pursue their goals in aggressive and covertly planning ways and don't recognize how to be honest with people. So they're planning and calculating to get ahead and use people for their own advantage. This interview is interesting and good too look at the whole story,

  • Bill just called himself a coward as he is the most manipulating person in the media. Everything he has said defines Bill's personality.............a master manipulator...........and he knows it. LOL

  • Is Bill O'Reilly for real ?!

  • I think the show must've asked Dr. Simon to come on because O'Reilly must treat his crew like crap, if this is how he treats his guests.

  • Fox News did a piece about manipulation lulz.

  • very good information i just wish he was on someone elses show.o'reilly is an a hole. dont like him at all

  • This has to be an old clip. Bill O'Reilly looks 15 years younger.

  • My irony detector exploded

  • How ironic, Mainstream media, especially Fox News AND Bill, talking about manipulation!! Classic! Phoney? Look in the Frikken mirror Bill! You ARE dismissed!

  • "covertly aggressive"? the word is "sneaky". seriously. what's wrong with words ppl used 2 use? they summed things up perfectly. now ppl are stuffing as many words in their mouths as they can just so they can sound important. another example is the word "modality". what's wrong with the word "mode"? THAT is the PROPER word 2 use. why all the suffixes & prefixes? so a bunch of idiots can sound smarter than they really are? gimme the old days, when ppl KNEW how 2 talk properly.

  • @qwyzl Yeah a self pretentious asshole usually comes up with thesaurus book words to impress others, it's all fluff. Sometimes I feel like an asshole when I use my medical jargon because I'm a therapist but I keep an eye on how dicky I'm sounding to people I care about because nobody likes the know-it-all guy. I don't want to be "THAT GUY" that people feel intimidated or harassed by.

  • @Viktir666 well, it's not so much coming off as a pretentious person that bugs me. i just don't like that the english language is being deliberately manipulated such that people talk like a bunch of pseudo intellectuals. like "impact" - it is NOT a VERB. & other words are being used incorrectly as well. if you're a medical man, & you use medical terms, that's 1 thing - that's understandable. but 4 ppl 2 misuse words, 2 apply them in a way they're not supposed 2 be applied - it makes me crazy.

  • @qwyzl Wow. You Sure do know how 2 talk properly.

  • @lazerbeam134 you try squishing every thing you have to say in a paragraph of limited character length. but then, may be some have less to say than others be cause they're relatively shallow... no depth to their thoughts.

  • @qwyzl I actually regularly debate on subjects for which I have many well thought out responses, and wish there were more room to write down my thoughts. But I deal with it and use another comment to continue my arguments/points in further detail as necessary. I was commenting on your apparent distaste for those who would keep language alive, rather than allow it to become debased and bastardized by the vulgar vernacular.

  • @lazerbeam134 watch a movie from the 1940's. compare their elegant use of language (that of the characters in the movie) to the use of words to day. you'll notice a big difference. oh - but make sure it's not a gangster movie. other wise you'll get a lot of "gangster slang", which would defeat my point. it's one thing to keep language "alive" - it's another to change the meanings of words.

  • @qwyzl I have watched many old movies, and honestly, read many books that use older forms of language. There was nothing wrong with the phrase "covertly aggressive" and it doesn't necessarily equate to "sneaky". "Sneaky" merely implies that there is something hidden going on- covert, as this case used. You can be sneaky in a context that isn't aggressive. "Sneakily aggressive" doesn't have the elegance that "covertly aggressive" does. The first sounds rather jarring to me.

  • @lazerbeam134 well, i guess we'll never agree. i just prefer language as it used to be spoken only a few decades ago. i hate the way people talk to day. ah, well. take care.

  • Bills right and he doesent suck

  • you suck bill, i feel sorry for your wife

  • Yes, Bill. weren't you forcing your comment on the psychologist? You are bold, but you are not less manipulative. Not everyone can manipulate as openly as you! You are the biggest manipulator here. And not all manipulators is are cowards! Maybe a passive aggressive manipulator is a coward!

  • 80% of my family try to manipulate me and each other and it sucks for real

  • bill is a huge manipulator lol, hes manipulating the host into thinking hes not a manipulator

  • sounds like my younger brother .......

  • I agree with the host: Manipulatives are cowards. They should say it to your face directly and bravely rather than ''calculating'' their way into what they want to get, by using you in a sneaky way. I hold no respect for manipulators. I despise them.

  • oh the irony......

  • what you do is type reptilians into the search bar above.. id come around and do it for you, although you probably live quite far away..

  • these will be people with higher % of reptilian Dna. who do this.. control freaks , MPD,NPD, Bipolar. sociopathic - they got the works of issues, all without conscience or empathy. they will bleed you dry and eventually kill u. seen it happen so many times, in marriages. relationships.. get out while you can.

  • @SovereignBeing what the fuck is this reptilian DNA shit. Please confirm this as true. Sorry about the language I'm just confused lol

  • sounds like every women i meet

  • sounds like all of the "sales" training I've taken/sales books I've read...

  • as a professional spindoctor O'reilly is authority Number ONE on manipulators!!

  • This guy is a bad interviewer. And I agree that he might be a narcissist.

  • Look in the dictionary and you will see Bill's face in there ha!

  • Interruption of questions, "Me, I", really funny that the interviewer demonstrates Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

  • HES A PHONY A BIG FAT PHONY, HEY HES A PHONY, EVERYONE HES A BIG PHONY

  • bill needs mental help!

  • I used to be a very manipulative person when I was much younger, now i find it discusting, I hate it. Nowadays im just straight forward with everything and it honestly makes me feel so much better. But since im used to it I can easily spot when somebody is trying to manipulate either me or someone else close to me, it's quite entertaining to play along for a little while until they're so nested in, then I call them out and make them look like complete asses :D

  • Then all professors are manipulative!

  • O'Reilly himself clearly has a form of Narcissistic Personality Disorder.. people with NPD constitute some of the most manipulative people in society.

  • "munipulate?????" really?

  • "MUNIPULATE???". Well, I got as far ad 56 seconds before I couldn't stand it anyore.

  • come on Bill ... really? phony? YOU are phony :)

  • Lets misquote the bastard.... Its the closest he will ever get to telling the truth about himself.

    "I'm a manipulator" Bill O'Reilly.

  • reminds me of my "mother"

  • Look who is talking! The Manipulator #1! That Corporate Whore that Loves to run! In his Spin Zone!!!

  • Fox news is what I view as a wolf in sheep's clothing. A reference point is weasel-words. Manipulation is a factor as to why I was compiling countermeasures to the parasitic exploitation of a manipulator.

  • Why is he explaining this shit to O'Reilly? He's the very definition of a manipulative person.

  • God dammit i hate Bill O'Reilly...

  • He is actually talking about Bill O'Reilly. It is so funny everytime he comments the Dr. explains the type of behaviour that Bill O'Reilly just did before.

  • @onee i know, does Bill even realize it?

  • @Freethinker12341 so true i bet Dr. Simson spotted that a mile away.

  • @onee Yes this is a very interesting interview O Reilly is very exposed here but he just convinces himself that no one will notice

  • O'Reilly's too stupid to be a manipulator. He's just a garden variety bully.

  • sure billy ...your not a manipulator

  • Why interview the Dr if you already think you know what a manipulative person is. Shut up and let him speak

  • @profws Yes & it's not just manipulation, it's power-obsession. Fundamentalist religion is a great example. They're right & you're wrong, period (except they're actually humble servants of the almighty, so that also emphasizes how evil you & humanity is/are by differing with them). Capitalism might be another good example by emphasizing selfishness.

  • @wellthenif totally agree

  • Comment removed

  • Hmm... I hear manipulators like to talk over people, beguile them into desired-for answers by asking leading questions. Bill wouldn't know anything about that would he?

  • This is the same Bill O'Reilly that yells "Shut Up" at his guests including the son of a 9/11 victim, and tells people what to think or else... some enterprising video editor with too much free-time on his hands needs to splice together this video with cut scenes of O'Reilly acting like the arrogant conceited ass that he is on a day-to-day basis.

  • pot , kettle , o'reilly lol

  • sounds like my sister

  • let the expert talk you dick head ....

  • @sihansen932835

    He can't...he's a manipulator himself.

Notice the "I think they are cowards", he's projecting...a form of manipulation

  • Who would know more about manipulation then Bill O'Lielly?

  • O'Reilly is a manipulator because he keeps cutting off the doc or soaking over him.

  • @SovereignStatesman yup, you're 100% right! He keeps cutting off the doc and manipulating himself! And gets paid to do it! I'd like to see him have an interview with Charles Manson! LOL

  • yeah the writer was good if he was allowed to talk, weird interview

  • @misskend Wouldn't it be wonderful if the interviewer would let the expert offer his opinions?

  • I'm not even mad at Bill O'Reilly cuz he's not a real person. He's just an ideology of nonsense that is attractive to both conservatives who share it, and attractive to liberals to listen to and express outrage. Like a train wreck; you know you shouldn't be watching but you sometimes can't help yourself.

    Buffoon.

  • BILL!

Shut the fuck up and let the man talk. I wanted to learn something here and you fucked it up with your non-stop yapping.

  • why can't that jabbering idiot just shut his mouth

  • Hahahahahahahahahahahhaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahhaahhahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahaahahahahahahaahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaahahahhahaahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahah....

Faux News talking about manipulative people, woo woo woo. What a day what a day.

  • I've read Dr. Simon's book and I highly recommend it. Of course Bill O'Reilly routinely uses the tactics of manipulation described in his book as do many in politics, business, etc...

  • It's his show, he is in charge. You can be in charge when you get your own show. O'Reilly does a good job on his show to control manipulators. Look how he dealt with Barney Frank. He pinned him to the mat and didn't let him dance around the questions. If you can't remember that look it up. It's on Youtube. Do your homework for pete's sake.

  • HA HA.....I can see Billy feeling guilty.

  • I listened to the Radio Factor and he would say stuff like "I'm the toughest journalist" and "I have more power than any senator." What we need is a montage of this interview with added clips of O'Reilly's douchebaggery. TV presenters in general seem to be obsessed with themselves.

  • bill you are the epitome of narcissism and manipulation. look how you don't let the doctor say much and self-praise frequently. the doctor must have gone home laughing

  • And O'Reilly talks about MANIPULATIVE people? Fucking pathetic narcisistic piece of shit. This blew my mind.

  • OMG OMG ..."but that's the thing that make's me so popular today" u fucking moron u manipulate te dr. that is an expert in manipulation to say that a manipulator is a "foney"...u din't him finish the sentences..that's a big weapon for a manipulator..and u made evreting about YOU ..."i dismis THEM" "I SAY go away , u're manipulative" u fucking prik....

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA that idiot doing a segment on this segment! oh dear

  • DAMN! Is O'Reilly a huge self centered narcissist or what?! He keeps saying how HE isn't swayed, how HE isn't manipulated on HIS show.

And I be damned - O'Reilly was uglier young than old. I didn't even know that was possible. I hate that bastard.

  • Hmm, I don't see an Onion logo anywhere...

  • o'reileys reaction at the "never a direct answer" part is the most perfect example of projection i have ever seen

  • The ironing is delicious.

  • Ha Ha. Bill Reilly on manipulating people.

    You couldn't make this up.

  • Why did Bill sound so uncomfortable? This is ironic and bizarre, Dr. Simon's must have known O'Reilly shared those traits. There are quite some evidence of psychopathic traits from O'Reilly, readily available on YT. It's funny how he tried to dissociate himself as anything but manipulative; was he afraid the doctor would call on him?

  • someone should give bill some bill the sociopath test

  • this is hilarious you can totally see the nervousness in Bills face, his facade is so trasparent in this interview, and i believe the Dr. was being very sly in his implications and i have a feeling Bill knew it. Seriously the definition of Irony

  • Is this a real interview? Sounds like a comedy skit on Saturday Night Live. The teapot calling the kettle black...

  • Bill needs to shut up and let the Dr. talk so everyone can learn something. He keeps speaking like he knows everything about a manipulative being.

  • "You ask a manipulator a direct question and you'll rarely get a direct answer" that part struck a chord with me. Evasive, closed down emotionally and coming from a place of fear. Avoid at all costs.

  • shit i thought you were going to show me how faux news does it
