  • is rice vinegar different from sushi vinegar??

  • that is amazing. im so hungry right now...

  • thank you for this recipe

  • i wish my mom made sushi for dinner

  • Thank you so much! Now I know what to do, thank you thank you!

  • I like your pot.. where do u get it..

  • yummmmy!!! I love raw sushi!!

  • Consider getting a better camera.

  • hi! I have made a sushi tutorial too! please check it out and let me know what you think

  • don't want to bash you but if you're going to make an instructional video on how to teach people how to make sushi, then do it the right way. For example, how you spread the rice was horrible. Creating sushi is not only about eating it, it's an art. It has to look good for the eye. If you don't spread the rice evenly as in squared, once you cut the rolls, some of them will have holes in it and it doesn't look good. but again, its a good video and i dont want to bash you for taking time.

  • are you a pro or something?

  • my question is!!! the tuna or the fish that you used is cooked or not!!!! and why the sugar on the rice???

  • it's not cooked. it's raw........

and to answer your second question, if you eat meat, do you season it sometimes? if so, why? to give it a better flavor. same with sushi rice. it's a special rice, not like the rice you can get at chinese fast food restaurants. hope that helps.

  • yeh japanese sticky rice

  • does it make a diference if you use regular vinegar rather than rice vinegar?

  • looks good

  • ASAHIII!

  • Nice video. I've been using half sheets of nori and am always disappointed because my rolls are too small. Full sheets from now on!

  • Nice work, we liked your video very much so we embedded it on ChefCommons . com w/ link back and reference to Youtube. (Let us know if you don't wish for it to be featured)

  • It made me hungry

  • thanks!

  • that sushi table was crazy mmm

  • Great video! I'll try out your recipe and I'll post back again with the results ^_^

  • Ive tried making sushi and i have failed may times =P. So i'm going to try this because it looks the best way to do it

  • Thanks alot for explaining... Am going to try to make my first bash christmas eve eating sushi out tend to be very expensive try $50 a visit en consider it coming from a college student in this bad economic in MI.Appreciate it...HAPPY HOLIDAYS...

  • FANTASTIC RESULT!! I SUBSCRIBE

  • can i roll it without a mat?...i really like sushi and im in college and cant get a hold of a mat

  • yes u can, i tried it without a mat, and it turned out great, maybe not as firm as it would be if i used a mat, but it was 9/10, i used plastic wrap instead of the mat, and when u roll, roll slowly, make sure u press firmly across the roll, and make sure u add even pressure, when u think its good complete the rolling till its all together then remove the plastic wrap and cut from the middle first, without adding lots of pressure to the roll while cutting so u don't squish it.

  • Thank you for showing that we can make it in a normal kitchen. All the other hotshots ether wanted to sell their vinigar or use some archaic out dated style that no one can duplicate without spending 10,000$ on imported equipment. Thanx!

  • THATS REALLY COOL THIS HELPS THANKS

  • am i the only one here who would eat it like a hotdog cause it would taste so good exept no mustard or ketchup just wasabi

  • great video! that sushi looked great!

  • can I use ordinary vinegar?

  • i don't know. i guess if nothing else is available yes

  • @nuthajason I heard you can add a little sugar and salt to regular rice and the same way and it works fine... and you can use plain water to wet your hands with. You dont have to waist rice or sushi vinegar to wet hands so rice wont stick to them... I make sushi at home...

  • can i use non-japanese rice vinegar?im really curious right now TT-TT thanks for explaining about the rice.this really help me~

  • have you consider owning a rice cooker; rice cookers are easy, and can cook rice better than the stovetop method, and you don't have to watch the rice being cooked.

  • Wonderful! Thanks for posting this!

  • Thats some good sushi!! And Asahi to wash it down...good stuff!!

  • Not usually a sushi man, but your wife did an excellent job of explaining how to make it! Might even get me to try it!
