yup poor things definately got blocked anal glands, it drives them mad as it gets worse rapidly needs treatment by a vet. Eventually they just yelp for no apparent reason and go and run around and hide and sulk and jump and alsorts of odd things - all for no apparent reason, but thats the cause !

Agree - it's not worms but anal gland problems. Apparently it can be a problem for Staffs who are eating food which is too soft. It means when they do a toilet, it is too soft to clear the anal glands. Our Harry would 'carpet surf' until we switched him to dry food, as per vet's instructions (who also has a staff dog). He hasn't done it since.

Ok guys, i am a Vet. You need to get your dog to a Vet because when it demonstrates that movement across the ground it means it has worms. Even though they get wormed, make sure it is done regularly because im sure you dont want it to turn into something serious. Thanks
