If you ask any dr. they will tell you it is okay to paint your nails. It's the risk of infection that can cause harm to the baby. You can get so many nail diseases/infections if the salon you go to does not use sanitary implements. I was okay with the woman doing my nails because she was 7 months pregnant herself! The salon was very venilated and she wore a mask but clients shouldn't worry about the fumes because they are there for a short time, with minimal exposure.
