  • gFk2cold, there are NA k swapped crx's that do high 10's, 11's to low 12's are easy

  • turbo is not needed unless its just for drag only because a stock k swapeed crx can do mid 11's in 1/4 mile stock

  • a j and k swap are unique but a k20 turbo is rediculous, anything over 350whp has no traction till 60mph a stock k20 with better cams is all you need, its what I will eventually do with my rex

  • @typerkush Bro, to be honest it's not even worth putting money into a honda serio. I'd rather build something else. They just tuned the fuck out of these to show that 4 Bangers can create so much power of a little engine.. But i rather not fuck with them. It comes out better to build something else for that much money your putting into it then building a civic just for drag. too much power for a fwd, i rather have More power w more control.

  • @JehZiR Tuning? has nothing to do with power yes it brings out power but that has nothing to do with the motors #'s u can take a 3 grand k20a2 swap and put into into a eg put nitrous on it and buy a pair of slicks for 250 bucks and have a 12 second car easily. You can put a new manifold on it and a header and you will be making the same numbers as a brand new mustang not as much torque but who needs 300ft lbs of torque in a car that weighs 1800lbs.

  • @typerkush Tuning has a lot to do with power man. You cant just bolt on power adders(Other than intakes, exhaust ect...) without making sure you have at very least an adequate A/F ratio for example. I get that your saying a K is a higher HP motor as is. You cant even add ITB's without tuning a car. Yea you can add nitrous, but what if your at a 14.7:1 A/F ratio(Stoich) and 12.5:1 comp ratio? Your gonna have a big ass grenade. Just food for thought.

  • @SANSOOSON Also, torque down low has a lot to do with it. The J series makes MUCH more torque down low than a K-series. The J35A5 in the Acura MDX (Yes, I'm aware it's an SUV, just making a point.) makes over 230 foot pounds at 3500 RPM. Horsepower sells cars, torque wins drag races.

  • @DORKYBA55ATTACK That was GM's theory. But yes, the higher the displacement the more torque it will have. Though I don't see the point when both cars are so overpowered that they just spin the front tires in all gears.

  • @wootness3000 I agree with that point. To me, a turbo-K or a N/A built J-series is just overkill for an EG. Those make much more sense in a heavier Honda chassis, like a Del Sol. My Del Sol was supposed to weigh about 2800 pounds Gross. By the time you added me at 200 pounds in the car, with a D16Z6 power plant that was stuck and probably put out about 100 to the ground, it was underpowered. The car felt completely dead and unresponsive under 3200 RPM's, still sluggish until VTEC at 4500.
