It did not last for only 5 days.....The musical began previews on Broadway at the Marquis Theatre on April 7, 2009, and officially opened on April 30, 2009....The Broadway run played 148 performances and 24 previews when it closed....a national tour will start in Nashville, Tennessee, in September 2010.

I LOVED " The one i love". That was THE best song in the whole show. I feel like they took out a few of the prettiest and funniest songs...(The One I Love, Out of Control, 9 to 5 reprise, Well Oiled Machine) It made me really sad when I finally got the soundtrack and none of those songs were on it. :(

I really like this song, but I miss the songs that were taken out of the musical. "Out of Control" was so funny and Stephanie was awesome in it. "The One I Love" was my favorite song of the show and I am sad to see it gone.

its sad they cut out of control... stephanie shined in that number! she had good comical timing with the xerox machine messups and the song.. it was a good part... I think all these changes could have hurt the musical when it went to NY... I for sure thought it would be a tony nominee.

I miss Out Of Control. Such a fun song. And i obviously also miss The One I Love. It was so beautiful. I love these new ones too, but after seeing the show so much in LA, it's sad to see some favs leave. But all in all, 9 to 5 The Musical has to be one of the greatest shows i've ever seen, and one of the highlights on Broadway right now, next to Wicked and Phantom of the Opera! And the cast......probably the best original cast in the history of musicals. Brilliant.

I agree too. I saw a video of Out Of Control and SJB was adorable with it. I never heard The One I Love. I'm sure it was great though. I saw it in NYC with all the changes and I love them. But I agree with you on everything else, especially that its one of the greatest shows and highlights of Broadway and best original cast! it deserved some Tonys! check out my tribute please!

Its kind of the "I want" song that every great musical needs, but this show was missing during its tryout in LA.

Story wise, it is at the end of Judy's first day at the office. She's been yelled at by Hart and is feeling tres miserable :(

Steph, Megan and Allison = perfection on a stage. Individually they are all incredible performers, but put them together with Patricia's hilarious book and Dolly's delicious score and one gets a perfect musical. Tonys for all five amazingly talented ladies please!!
