I don't know why on earth this has so many negative ratings; I've been playing on and off for years and being up close behind the fret was something I never knew about. Hopefully that will help the next time I pick up the guitar. Thanks!

Also: if you have long nails on your playing hand, clip them. Don't be like Dolly Parton and tune your guitar to an E chord and just barre the chords w/ one finger. That's lame.

man this is great, that has been really bugging me. I've been teaching myself for a little while now and i have no problem with forming chords and stringing a few together and even playing basic songs, but i always had that horrible twangy sound and there's just no tutorials out there that show you how to fret a note properly! so thanks
