@xXDo1nkXx actually the reason for that was because hand to hand combat was expected, and if an attacker came from behind and grabbed them, the chinstrap would jerk their head back and put them at a disadvantage. therefore they wore them up so that the helmet would just fall off if grabbed from behind. but what you say works too.

yes and my dad got the jeep way back about eight years ago for out on our ranch and when we started filming it was like hey we can use that! its not a ww2 model its a 1948 but its close enough.... the big difference in that and the world war two models is the windshield.. but that is really minor

The only other critisism is that equitment isnt hauled up to the front like that, it takes weeks even months to get equitment like that. And a gasmask and bonoculars case are not first (or even last) priority when stuff is hauled to the front. Youve seen band of brothers Ja? Especially during when they get cut off at Bastogne? A canadian parachute unit in the same vacinity (but within their lines) had the same supply problems. And it wasent just in 43. Untill the allies captured ports supply=N/A

I swear the acting may be a little corny but its way better than the acting my extras do. My only critisism is that it is american (I'm not trying to be anti american but I have yet to see a reinactment group or homade war film involving british or canadians, as far as I know we are the only ones on youtube)

He is also using an airsoft M14 without a magazine as an M1 Garand. Look at the heat-guard forward of the receiver and the gas tube extending just short of muzzle. Nice Willies Jeep though - if it were properly painted and the wheels correct.

Actualy soldiers in WWII did have helmet straps, but they were put up on the back of their helmets.

No, I am 100% positive it's a grease gun. If you go and look at a greasegun and a mp40 side by side you can see the difference. Mp40s have a different stock and sights than a greasegun.

Pretty cool! And I like the jeep although it's not the right color. Maybe someday you can modify it to look like a 1940's Willy's US Army Jeep? Maybe you can paint it Olive Drab (WWII "olive" color).......But over all very good. :)
