There are a few things that I think connex should put into effect right away.
- employ more maintenance staff posted at Flinders to clear out dirty trains...
- set a standard when announcing train delays on the platform. particular emphasis should be put on announcements that can be clearly understood by all
-put a police presence on the trains to discourage undesirables
There are CCTV that would have captured the whole incident, not just the bit that we just saw. The driver in queston is one that i know would take a fair bit of pushing to react like that, and speaking from experience we come in for a hell of a lot of crap. As for 2rippo2's comment, unless the government invests serious money into the network it won't matter who runs it. Some sections of track haven't changed much from 100 to 150 years ago.... and it shows.
who knows what happend before hand, the passenger may have taking a swing at him or what not, and his acted in self defence, it may look a bit excessive on the video but who knows that the passenger would have done to him?

There are a few things that I think connex should put into effect right away.
- employ more maintenance staff posted at Flinders to clear out dirty trains...
- set a standard when announcing train delays on the platform. particular emphasis should be put on announcements that can be clearly understood by all
-put a police presence on the trains to discourage undesirables

There are CCTV that would have captured the whole incident, not just the bit that we just saw. The driver in queston is one that i know would take a fair bit of pushing to react like that, and speaking from experience we come in for a hell of a lot of crap. As for 2rippo2's comment, unless the government invests serious money into the network it won't matter who runs it. Some sections of track haven't changed much from 100 to 150 years ago.... and it shows.
