Does Miss Piggy know about Gladys? That is one involved cow! Cow-frog and frog-cow are rather interesting ideas, and how could Kermit refuse a lady's request?
Now that Gladys has turned him into a cow or "frog-cow" as they say, he's admitting he IS a cow, and is doing what cows do, eating grass in the field (or pasture).
This 80's skit featuring Kermit and Gladys is funny. There's lots of wit and comic humor in it that's really good, and the voice talents of Jim Henson and Richard Hunt is awesome together.
Now this is just hilarious. One of Gladys's funniest moments.

Wow... I was really expecting a pun about bullfrogs. Way to be unpredictable, Sesame.

I wonder if you have a skit where Gladys became an assistant director to Kermit somewhere.

It's scenes like this that make me think, if Kermit was real, it's almost like he hated doing this kids stuff!
It's almost like Sesame Street was his first job in showbiz, but he was destined for better things! And later bacame the host of the Muppet Show!
YAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!

Why does gladys's voice sound like a male??? It's weird!
MaryHelsing 4 years ago
Because she's performed by a male.
samsticka 4 years ago
But the character's a girl, can't they just get a girl to perform it????
MaryHelsing 4 years ago
Bart Simpson is voiced by a girl. They just do it because they like the way they do the voice.

If a cow can jump over the moon, I'll bet a frog could jump to Neptune.

Poor Kermit.

Great sketch, yay Jim and Richard! I love it when Old School Sesame Street talked about cooperation and enjoying each other's differences. :)

"Gladys, I'm here to talk about frogs."
"Yes, I heard."
"Herd what?"
"Herd of cows."
"No... a cow herd."
"What do I care what a cow heard? I've done nothing to be ashamed of."

I've never seen Kermit interact with Gladis before.
Kermit's last line is a gem!

Thanks for pointing that out! To those who didn't hear it, Kermit says "Going out to pasture..." at the very end.

This skit is from the 1993 SS tape I sent you, right? (Philo and Gunge)
BobThePizzaBoy 5 years ago
This skit can't be from 1993 because Jim Henson passed away in 1990. So this must have been from the late 1980s. _Eric ;)

No, the episode was from 1993, I know this skit was from the 1980's.

No, it's not from there. I honestly didn't know it was.
