I hope it's not actually firing anything! I've seen these in books on sundials before, but it's really fun to see one actually in use. Where is this little jewel located?
Sundial Cannon lives in Burlington, Vermont. It was a reproduction made by the Franklin Mint, and bought on Ebay for about $110. I think I may have had to drill an access hole into the bore from where the lens ignites the powder. I fill the bore about 1/4" with pyrodex, and sprinkle a little into the igniting recess across the top. There is no projectile, of course.
