The problem with the sound is that his guitar is not tuned in the same tuning as the music.

His guitar is not tuned with the standard 440hz and the music seems to be.

I think that his d string went a bit sharp in the beginning when he went for the wammy. Im sure he knew it but the performance, over all, had alot of great moments, aside from the fact, definately worth sharing. Mad guitar skills to say the least!

I've never seen a GT-8 demonstration that makes me want to buy a GT-8, no matter how great the guitarist is...it always has an awful tone.

Look at some demos for the Zoom G9.2tt...there are guys that get an awesome tone out of those.

Robert Marcello is a helluva guitarist!! I especially like the Roland amps that he uses. I used to have an old Roland JC-77 and that amp had some of the best tones I have ever heard!!! I miss that amp! I wish I never sold it. :( That amp was especially killer when I used it to drive my Marshall 1960 series 4x12 cabs.

sorry but this is not very musical. too many throwaway notes, no theme, just a technical exercise with very little feeling. a sweep-picking something-or-other. he's clearly incredible technically but i'm not sure what the 'music' is trying to be. it's a load of arpeggiated sweeps and legatos over a vamp. and maybe he is just a little out of tune with the rest of the band in places (but in tune across his own strings).

GT is better because it can be customised, ME can't, sound on gt is better, and fx are nicer because u can customise effects chain i wanted to buy an ME but got a GT instead, take my advice buy a GT if u have the money, if not ME is a good tool, u cant go wrong.

Guitars tend to get out of tune halfway a show, I've had it a couple of time, but there's not much you can do about it once you're playing

Plus, he doesn't seem to use a floyd rose or locking system, so it's logical his guitar gets out of tune when he uses his whammy bar

I have found that the only thing you need the amp for is the loudness of your tone, y'know? I have the GT-8 and use the crateflexwave head and cab. the head is 120w and the only thing I use is the EQ on the clean channel. All of my effects are set in the GT-8 already. Long story short is just a matter of prefference as far as im concerned. Different heads give you more or less power. Then theres tube and solid state. One is warmer and the other more of a mid-y tone going on. Hope this helps.

Well, he definitely played some outside notes that sounded like crap. Even if it was intentional...it sounded very out of key. the key to outside playing is to play notes out of key for a very short time to add interest. Stay "outside" too long and it just sounds like crap.

he got an harmonizer on, can máke it sound untuned, and this thingy gt-10 is an digital junk box, thats that you get, a bunch of half good sound and zero good sounds ... better too get the real deal, guitar - one good overdrive - a tube amp, then its just too rock, dont nead all that reverb and stuff on a real amp :)
