FLASHBACK - there's a really dark early 90's UK white label that samples "gettin busy with the track" and "mix it up" off this over a 125 bpm (ish) breakbeat and really evil sparse keyboards! Someone else still alive who tripped their tits off in proper acid-head nights (I won't say clubs) must know the track I mean!
not many have managed to slow the electro-funk down to this speed and still keep it RAW - this was the direction music should have gone in the 1990s - pioneering tune - maybe when we get the corporate crackerjacks off our backs we can pick it up from where the Lazy man left it
can anyone point me in the direction of a 92 techno mix or bootleg of this? i heard it at haulocaust rave in scotland and was overjoyed being a doug fan, any help welcomed
We loved this guy, he put his name in every song he did...we'd be listening to a similar sounding record and before we knew it, you'd here "DOUG LAZY" ot "The L A Z Y" - classic!!!
OF Course, the folks in NYC, instead of signing Kool Rock Steady, Tyree, Sundance or Fast Eddie; they decide to "emulate" the sound Chicago....not that this track isn't hot...
Like Flojo getting busy with the track. bruce Lee is what it's kicking like. Yeah, that's how good the artists of yesteryears were - legendary. where did Lazy go?
on the flip was an accapella that you could lay over the top of any of those old house tunes and the floor would be yours!! Time and a place music, cheers!
NEVER thought I'd hear THIS version again (yea-got the album edit on disc!:-) but THIS is the shiz! I thank you and my million dead brayn cells thank you for postin' this! Aaaaah--to be crawlin' back to the SAN FRAN ENDUP at 6 in the moanin' and hear this creepin' into the mix!
OMG I never thought I would hear this again? Dont know if anyone knows DJ Sy in the UK, but when he was a student at Nottingham Uni (same time as me) he used to play this at the Uni rave nights. Awesome - but I think he there is also an instrumental version too? Love this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Whew... I must have dug a groove into this vinyl when I used to spin in the 80's. This cut was sure to get everyone on the floor.. Great dance cuts back in the 80's...
The whole "Gettin Crazy With Doug Lazy" cassette/album/CD is a hip-house classic. If you can find it..then by all means pick it up. Can anyone help me find "Bass Power" by Raze..Doug kills the vocals on that one as well.
Correct me if I'm wrong but there's a dub mix on the flip side of this which, for my money is a bit better than this mix... but it's all down to personal taste eh? Thanks for uploading!

The voice reminds of Mc Fixx it. Rappeurs in Acid House and Eurodance were simply great! Especially black guys. Thank you for this track. 5*

If there were 20 people on the dance floor when they played this song, 19 of them were doing the running man.

Holy flashback, haven't heard this song in over 20 years ha.
This was HUGE in the clubs back then, they would play it at least 3 times a night.
