@Krenisphia As a magician, a simple trick might seem small and not that great, but for an audience that has no knowledge of magic, it will seem like something incredibly amazing.

I find that sometimes simple tricks have a much bigger impact than complex ones that require much more skill.

It's all about how you present it, if you make it a big deal, then people will take it as a big deal.

@majch I 2nd that. It's frustrating performing for magician with a narrow vision (ie: magician point-of-view). There are many surprising audience preferred effects that to a magician seems simple.  But if all magicians can appreciate that it's the showmanship and character audience are engaged in. In that sense, everything else are tools but not the entertainment aspect. Develop a character fellow magic brothers and sisters!
