@deejayem91 A prequel would be the only solution, but the characters are already too old for that. Make-up can only go so far. Tony Sirico looks like he's in bad shape too.
@rmr355 Umm, that was absolutely positively never shown to be a fact or even implied. The series ended with blackness, no conclusion, no loose ends being wrapped up, no neatly packaged and easily labelled way of stating what exactly became of everyone and everything.
And that's the fact.
But I agree that there will likely never be a movie now; too many lead characters are dead and the actors and actresses involved don't really seem to want it.

@TheWitchOvAgnesi The best thought I saw in an interview was something along the lines of that it doesn't make any sense that David Chase was telling us his story but then he turns around and lets us decide the fate of his main protagonist. It's kind of a cop-out. If Tony died, he should show it, but instead, he leaves us all hanging and we're still debating it years later.

But that assumes that David Chase did NOT show us EXACTLY what he wanted too (i.e. Tony's death - as he interprets death to be). In other words, I don't think he wants to let us decide Tony's fate and in fact actually shows it the way he's been depicting it up till then.
Of course, it would be nice for him to just say so... LOL
@TheWitchOvAgnesi Agreed on all points. I think he, like the fans, was so attached to the character that while the series was going to end, he couldn't bring himself to blatantly kill Tony, so he hid behind artistic license and used a cut to black finale to finish the story.
We can say that there are allusions to Ton'y murder by Meadow's three attempts to park or the guy in the
Members Only jacket, or the black guys entering the restaurant, but still, it's all supposition and innuendo.
