I built a team with overall 97 offense and 100 defense made it to the superbowl scored 31 points to start the game while holding the other team scoreless, then i decided to simulate the game to the end and I LOST 31 to 34. WTF!

Also the catch animations. However Madden has Superstar, RTG, Mini camp, No Sprint (Madden 12 for PS3 and XBOX360 only), and Custom Audiables. Although they both have a curse on the cover guy.

SO BEAUTIFUL. that animation at :32 w/ favre looks perfect. even though this was before the QB specific throwing styles thats exactly how favre throws HIS intermediate/power/GUNSLINGIN' passes. he swings his body to gun the ball in their.
this game, the animations, the depth, the graphics all are so damn fluid, and as close to perfect as the time permitted.
i would prefer this game and MADDEN 05 over anything EA has put out since then. MADDEN NFL 11 is 60% half ass and 41% suck. it sucks 101%

To me, this is one of the greatest sports games ever (along with Tecmo bowl, NHL Hitz 03, and Wayne Gretzky 3D Hockey). And to think of the legacy this game has, I mean is there anybody that still plays madden 04 or 06 (as an alternative to 10?) I don't think so.2004 was an amazing year for Visual Concepts. And we all know EA had something strong on the last gen consoles, but they are still adapting to next gen. It's amazing to see that this game is still up and running.

as far as gameplay goes this is far superior than madden, yes madden has improved but there are still many problems with it, this is more realistic as far as gameplay goes than madden 10, I think madden 10 is a great game, and it has great graphics, but 2k5 is an excellent game with previous gen graphics, if 2k made this game over and just gave it new gen graphics it would be the best thing on the market, the only thing madden has over this today is graphics.

I have this game, I purchase it for 95 cents a month ago. I gotta say, this game is one of the best NFL games I've played. I hope NFL 2K13 comes out in 2012, if 2K Games gets the exclusive license agreement to the NFL.

SO BEAUTIFUL. that animation at :32 w/ favre looks perfect. even though this was before the QB specific throwing styles thats exactly how favre throws HIS intermediate/power/GUNSLINGIN' passes. he swings his body to gun the ball in their.
this game, the animations, the depth, the graphics all are so damn fluid, and as close to perfect as the time permitted.
i would prefer this game and MADDEN 05 over anything EA has put out since then. MADDEN NFL 11 is 60% half ass and 41% suck. it sucks 101%

When someone posts a video, and I see a comment saying he/she is a fanboy, it pisses me off. People saying that we are fanboys for still playing an "outdated game"- H0lyPh3n0m. I still play cuz i know 2K5 is better than the Bullcrap you get every year with Madden. Madden 10 new feature- Protak and fight for the fumble. I've seen better, more realistic tackling and fumble fights from Popwarner players. I'm not a fanboy of 2K5 or a Madden hater. I'm just stating the truth that 2k5 is better.

God damn I miss this series! 2K5 was when it was better than Madden IMO. Sucks that EA had to buy the rights because they felt threatened. I haven't played a football game since Madden 06 and even then I still went back to this. Second best football game ever made next to Tecmo Super Bowl.

To me, this is one of the greatest sports games ever (along with Tecmo bowl, NHL Hitz 03, and Wayne Gretzky 3D Hockey). And to think of the legacy this game has, I mean is there anybody that still plays madden 04 or 06 (as an alternative to 10?) I don't think so.2004 was an amazing year for Visual Concepts. And we all know EA had something strong on the last gen consoles, but they are still adapting to next gen. It's amazing to see that this game is still up and running.

You can't go wrong with Madden 12.. Nothing in 2k5 can come close to madden 12.. Madden 05? Yes. Madden 06? Yes. Madden 07? Yes. Madden 08? Yes. Madden 09? Yes. Madden 10? Yes. Madden 11? as far as gameplay goes this is far superior than madden, yes madden has improved but there are still many problems with it, this is more realistic as far as gameplay goes than madden 10, I think madden 10 is a great game, and it has great graphics, but 2k5 is an excellent game with previous gen graphics, if 2k made this game over and just gave it new gen graphics it would be the best thing on the market, the only thing madden has over this today is graphics.

Calm DOWN, fanboy. Madden's great, don't get me wrong at all. Got my start on Madden, and I will always like it.
However, ESPN 2K5 was easily the best football game that's come out yet. Look at it man, it's a beauty to see. The graphics (although outdated) were maybe about 50 megapixels behind the 360. Not only is it a beauty to SEE, it's a beauty to play. The controls are nice and smooth, and the gameplay is VERY realistic.

The deflections are made when a play trucks someone and there are more realistic high class jukes like in the real thing. But in madden the game always glitches to show the same animtion of a juke and truck. the gang talkle in madden looks fake and the recievers have like no catch animation where in 2k

there is alot. plus when the ball is deflected, 2k has animations to help the defender catch the ball. plus there superstar is better, they have a crib, etc.. but all madden does is make arcade shit and the thing where its in black and white and you use old jerseys but not old players. but the thing i hate more about madden is the fact that they tron jog. 2k's running looks way more realistic. and thats not even the end of it. ill tell you more when you answer my question as well...
