Thank god for the mute button. Why can't people just leave the sounds of the bikes in the video instead of overdubbing some stupid song. I was there and WIckstrand was flying and it was better listening to the bikes then listening to my iPod.
love hare scrambles and enduros. one of the oldest off road cycle clubs are pretty close by. motorcycle meteor something like 80 years strong.
watching videos on YOUTUBE make me wanna fire up one of the bikes and go riding. mmmm i can smell the 2 stroke and hear the ring a ding ding as well as the thump thump thump as i type this.
@atomicsaladbowl Ooops, the poster IDed the band as "Creed." Don't really care for such a pretentious sounding vocalist, myself. And I agree with other posters that the bike sounds would be better. People don't really want to hear others musical obsessions forced on them.
Correct. I guess I was trying to make the distinction between Trials, as we know it, where riders negotiate obstacles such as, large rocks, dry riverbeds, etc. with penalty points for putting a foot down, and Enduro, where riders blast around in a motorcross fashion, with road and off-road sections, where speed is the key. Enduro riders sit down mainly, Trials riders stand up.
@DJB99 The first type is called Observed Trials. 10 sections to negotiate without dabbing. What Americans long called Enduros were closer to the ISDT, but it had tests and standards that American Enduros never did. Enduros were not races, but more like timed rallies. You had to get in on the speed average aimed at. A Hare Scrambles was an all out race cross country, like the Desert Races in SoCal. We had some in NorCal as well. Must have been elsewhere as well.
It's not OBSERVED Trials. It was called a Reliability Trials until it was renamed International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) in 1981. Most bike are pre 81 so they use ISDT.

We have the Scottish Six Day Trial in U.K. where they use Trials bikes as I described above. That's why I thought I'd clarify.

This is Not Trials. It's Enduro, or Trail Riding.
