  • Darn, took me almost 2 hours to kill that guy, took you a couple of seconds...

  • @AlphaWolfAV Well, what can I say? GIRL POWER! :-) Nah, it took me some practice, too; but once you get the hang of it, it's fairly simple. *nods*

  • You should put up some newer stuff like this? Or do you even play anymore?

  • @TheRealSpoony I still play. Not as often as back then, but I do. But there is nothing happening in-game for which I find it necessary to record a video. ^-^

  • nicely done...

  • @TheRealSpoony Thanks. :-)

  • like a boss dude

    very manly, gratz!

  • @disturberofrules Heh heh, thanks... only that I am a woman. :-))

  • @DocCovington

lol, sorry ^^ then I'll just say respect! ;)

  • @DocCovington shit that sucks.

  • Any/Rt no matter Communing or Channeling > Tournament, bring a slef heal and posibly a condition/her removal and your set =)

  • @RAIKIRIUSER27 Read the info and other comments. This is not about using the easiest build (like the lame Rt build you suggested), but about beating Magni with your own profession (in this case: warrior).

  • @DocCovington whats so lame about the Rt build? if you want to do it fast just use the spirits who cares you use them?

  • @RAIKIRIUSER27 i did it with SoS rit no heals and hammer warr lol

  • auspicious parry, riposte, dead magni :)

  • WooOT Poets of the fall

  • They're the best. :-)

  • kinda nice 4/5 :)

  • i couldnt seem to do it at all with builds like these, he would just hit too much. so i did it with 'for great justice!' dragon slash and brawling headbutt. you use enraging charge, FGJ and when you get off a hit it charges brawling headbutt immediately. because brawling headbutt knocks down you can just toggle between dragon slash and brawling headbutt non stop for 20 seconds until FGJ stops. so its a constant knockdown, very useful sword build.

  • The EotN skills are brilliant for those who can get them, thanks to the overpowered PvE aspects. Still, without them any class can still win, even a mere monk.

I personally mostly play Mesmer, and have found weaknesses in Magni that are exploitable.

    A good tutorial though.

  • It's also very easy with a ranger, just take your standard BA build and take your pet, you may also want to consider taking YMLAD and/or EV Assa Support for knockdowns, might be a bit tricky on your energy, but that's what energy sets and zelous mods are for =o

  • It is doable with EVERY profession, but this is a WARRIOR ONLY tutorial. ;-)

  • Yeah uh.. sorry about that, I kinda forgot that part about your video ^^"

One more thing tho, if you do have YMLAD on your bar, you have a small chance of interrupting Magni's Bear Form. It might also help if you have an IMS skill, like Natural Stride, cause Magni starts using Bear Form before you get him inside your bubble

  • That is correct.

However, this build and video were specifically done for people who just got started with EotN and did not have those skills yet.

I simply wanted to prove that it could be done without resorting to other professions or the EotN PvE skills. ;-)

  • Auspicious Parry / Riposte toggling works a charm on him too :)

he hits you with AP on (does no dmg and charges Riposte)

he hits you with Riposte on (does no dmg and AP charges)

  • That is a wonderful tip :) , but how do you handle the lack of "Gladiator's Defense" during the whole thing (not just Magni)?

  • well, ... i know what skills to intterupt but.. still lol... the recharge of the intterupt skills etc. but ehmm if you're on gw whisper me ''Raiqueze Warrior'' :)

  • > well, ... i know what skills to intterupt

    Well, apparently you don't.

Glad you managed to do it with the Spritmaster build for noobs. Congrats. *rolls eyes*

  • lol, im not trying to piss you up :O, its juz annoying lol, i could win of them but it might take like an half hour XD

  • With a little practice it doesn't take that long, really.

Like I said, you need to figure out which skills to interrupt, etc. (for instance, if you don't interrupt Mhenlo's Mending immediately, you don't stand a chance, as he is 55 HP).

It's fairly simple once you get the hang of it.

The ONLY opponent that REALLY takes long with that build is Danika.

  • im sorry but this build sucks vs necros or like xandra, this build will never work if they can heal themself. with more skills

  • The build doesn't suck, as I always manage to defeat every single one of them.

I guess your play style is the problem here. (You need to interrupt their self-heal skills etc.)

You might want to try the Rt built then that works with every player profession. That's the perfect one for noobs.

  • nice works better than mine

i use ripost deadly riposte shield bash grenths balance

and heal sig gash pure strike final thrust havnt lost with it but your looks to work better

    16 tatics 15 sword

  • btw. im getting the elite right NOW, then i have the full build :D i gonna look at spot 4 :D

  • Ah, so you're new to the game then?

  • hell NO! XD well i play for 1 year :) why do you think im new? cuz i didnt had the full build?

  • It wasn't meant as an offense. :-)

And I was just a bit surprised you asked about the elementalist opponents, since the build has two interrupts included, plus the opponents don't have endless energy and you can easily avoid AoE dmg as well.

I apologize if you took it the wrong way. We all started at some point, and I remember how much I still had to learn after my first year in GW. *gets all sentimental* ;-)

  • :) its fine lol XD no need to apologize";)

  • hey its nice :D but ehm.. i dont get the point this build will works against eles etc. explain pls :D

  • Just attack them and heal yourself (and don't forget to activate buffs such as Dolyak Signet when available).

Takes a while, but is fairly simple, since they've got no self-heal (and once you've figured out which skill it is you definitely need to interrupt).

  • thanks for your fast reaction :)

  • good

  • should work even better now healing sig got buffed

  • 5 stars

  • Hi DocCovington. Can you plz give me the

name of wep and shield ;P? looks nice

  • I was using an energy armor set, a -5/+30 Zodiac shield and (at the time) a 15^50/+30 Oni Blade (which I have replaced with a different skin by now).

  • i don't get it though! what about Nogura or whatever the mesmers name is. or any other mesmers in round 5, those are instant casts 50-60 damage a blow, thats where i Always! die. i don't see how you would get past them without really good healing.....

  • Like I already posted, it's simple. All you need is some practice. ;)

Simply interrupt their worst spell (like any blinding spell, for instance), then take them down - and don't forget to heal yourself constantly.

  • ah ok thank you

  • whats the name of the song!

  • > whats the name of the song

"Lift" by Poets of the Fall (my favorite band ever)

...as mentioned in the outro by the way. Reading ftw! ;)

  • xD i didn't know Mhenlo was a 55 in there! xD No Shit i could do anything to him!

  • please can i have the build for that please, i'm a warrior and i cant do it..... can you please put the skills in under the vid, like names of skills, ty

  • Just click on "More info" in the file description right next to the video. ;)

That's my current build, since I've kicked "Holy Veil" in favor of "Plague Touch".

  • o_O, even against 55hp Mhenlo?

  • Yes, hence the interrupt skills. ^^

If you don't manage to interrupt his "Mending" skill, you won't stand a chance, since you don't have an Enchantment remover with you. ;)

  • this is done with a warrior monk right?

  • It used to, yes - but I've switched to Warrior/Necromancer with "Plague Touch" instead of "Holy Veil" (I find it more useful and efficient). :)

  • Gladiator stance,Deadly Riposte,Riposte + Empathy owns any melee character even without empathy u can crush him like hes a wild hog.

  • Apparently, you didn't get the point:

This is a build that works against ANY opponent in the Bison arena, not just against meleê NPCs. ;)

  • I find this build to be better: "For Great Justice!" Enraging Charge Brawling Headbutt Steelfang Slash Dragon Slash Deadly Riposte "You Move Like A Dwarf!" Healing Signet Swordsmanship=12+1+1 Strength=12+1 That way, u can keep any opponent kd-locked forever by using Enraging~>"FGJ!"~>Brawling~>attack a few times~>steelfang~>dragon~>repeat. Interrupt casters and Magni's bear form with "YMLaD!". Against Mhenlo, a vampiric sword will make things easier.
