I wouldn't recommend Hostos Community College, too many dominicans dominating the school just making use of financial aid reembursement and college discovery money. Some of them last years in that college, making a blood bath out of the CPE test. This is not a college for english dominant students, nor is it for "advanced" students.

@ Actually,there are all kinds of students at Hostos,many trying very hard and some succeeding even at great personal expense in time,dedication and own money when financial aid fails to cover the tailend of their classes.They accomplish this even as a great number have had to learn English as a second language,maintain fulltime jobs,and run their own households and bills, just as Sonia Sotomayor's mother did.It can at times be an inspiring place in spite of the occasional negaters posted above.
