  • You play your guitar with precision and softness...the soul that you put into your music comes from your tune... I love your music,I love listening to you play. :)

  • um... wow... superb talent!

  • Fantastic! If Getz were present with his sax I might actually believe this was from the Getz/Gilberto albumn, its that good.

  • Will check him out for sure! I've always really loved the song "Girl from Iponema" which I believe would be considered bossa nova, but haven't been exposed much to the genre otherwise.. Thanks for the recommendation I will set aside some time to listen to some Joao Gilberto soon!

  • Bro, I love everything you've ever posted but this one takes the cake for me... I find myself singing this throughout my day and I don't even know french, and I've certainly never heard this one before... Thanks for turning me on to something wonderful I wouldn't have otherwise have known about. *tips hat* Much obliged for all your music, Sir

  • @earthlyradiodotcom Thanks a bunch for the compliment...the language in this song is close enough to French indeed...it is Portuguese, another latin language...if you really enjoyed this, you should listen to Joao Gilberto...he is the ultimate master of this style, called Bossa Nova and born in Brazil from multiple influences (African musical roots, Brazilian Samba, Jazz chords, etc...)

    Cheers!

  • wonderful as usual..

  • Bonjour

:-) A bientot!

  • Wow! I love it, such a classic song! And your playing is great

  • this guy man!!! Simply sublime!

  • Very very nice, with presence and great style!

Chapeau!!!!

  • Nice to hear such a beautiful song played by a great musician. Smiling and feeling the sweet vibe. Thanks for doing that for me buddy.

  • I'm sure you're already tired with so many compliments. I'm astonished. You're awsome!

    Mes felicitation!!!

    Parabéns mesmo!

  • Very nice! I've been following your blues stuff for a while; didn't know you had some bossa nova skills as well (though now that I look through your uploads, I see this isn't the first time you've recorded the style). Looking forward to your next recording!

  • I'm in love with you!!!!!!!

  • Oh im still struggling with the gilberto version of este seu olhar... i think i even almost forgot about this tune so far. Your rendition here is a great reminder and im glad you shared your cover :) Great played and sung, no doubt. A lot of feeling.

Im not really well read when it comes to this specific genre, but now i surely have the motivation to keep on trying and learning!

    all the best

  • great great great!!!!so cool

  • That was awesome JR!

pour aller au fond des choses j'ai vraiment aimé ta version de how long blues worried life blues, rosa morena et you are my sunshine.

  • Where are your good old depression and blues? Are you in trouble? Anyway, I don't mind a bit of lighter mood as long as it also inspires you to take up your guitar, sing, switch on your cam and post it to share it with Alice and the rest of the world. I really enjoyed the result, it is good to see you smile. All the best,

    Gergely

  • @gembela07062001 Thanks gergely :-) The Blues is still in me...but no tears for Alice's birthday! :-)

  • make me wanna pull out my classical but its im the pawn shop

  • I adore the way you play. Your voice is so sweet.

I´ve been a huge fan of yours for a while now.

    Greetings from Argentina!

  • I'm impressed with your "Brazilian Feeling" ... you lived in Brazil ? very good ... well done. :) :)

  • @jorggomes2 No, I haven't lived in Brazil...yet! :-) But I fell in love with Bossa Nova a looong time ago...and I have since learned Portuguese (still learning) and enjoyed playing that wonderful music...thanks for your compliment! :-)

  • Mon Ami, your Portuguese is excellent, I'm so impressed with your playing and your singing. Please extend the song by singing it twice with a simple intermezzo solo. It doesn't have to be complicated. Muito Bom...demais.

  • @giovannimiami Merci, mon ami :-) I know, I should have played it longer the way Joao Gilberto does, repeating it with a bridge solo...will do next time! :-) thanks for your compliment on my playing!

  • Very nice played!

  • this is so Boss!

  • That was excellent!
