Spine tingly awesome. Brings tears to my eyes every time I watch it. Saw the Bunnymen hundreds of times in the eighties. Always found Pete a bit aloof but without doubt the best drummer of his generation.
thanks for this. Elegiac. Bunnymen were always The Bunnymen when Pete drove the beat. Impossible to describe how great they were with Pete at the helm. Driving the rhythm, the rhythm of our lives. Great memories.
One of those posts that sparkles and makes not your day, but your life. Twice a week, I take my Honda 750 into the mountains of W Japan. Heaven Up Here in one ear, under the helmet. Isolation, blue skies and moody mountains. Utter de Freitas territory. What becomes of people when they have gone? No one can answer, but the finest drumming ever, in my earphone, that`ll do.
Thanks for posting, just amazing all of the changes in ones lifes journey. How I miss the 80's,glad I grew up then than now.R.I.P. To the ones that havn't made it this long and peace to the ones still here.
This is very nice, it reminds me of Liverpool and the mystery of bands in the early 1980's. Of strange clothing, and even stranger haircuts. Of spiky unique personalities and the whiff of something illegal in the air. Of the promise of something truly experimental and revolutionary. Of something that never quite... happened. Of a dream that faded and metamorphosized like one generation gives way to the next. My favourite bit is the motorbike in the bedroom
masterpiece, alot of effort must have went into this,it was well worth it.

Pete de Freitas - still my favourite drummer, even after all these years.

there is power in the spoken word
if the story has life in it

I am silent. I never saw words and images go this well together.
There must bee a very sensitive peron behind this, to understand every little feel-detail. Sense of meaning.
I am speechless, still. I was afraid i lost this clip i didn´t save it last time. Now i will.
I send it to my lovely girl.
All love,
K
