  • masterpiece, alot of effort must have went into this,it was well worth it.

    cheers,parkhill62

  • Pete de Freitas - still my favourite drummer, even after all these years.

    Fantastic tribute.

  • there is power in the spoken word

if the story has life in it

  • let's here it for aloof

if the drummer wasn't the beat would be different

  • This should be the official video.

  • Absolute wonder.

  • Hope you have the full lyrics . Would appreciate very much. Thanks!

  • Breaks my heart

  • Miss you pete. you and bill berry from REM are the reason i play drums. :-)

  • Quite beautiful and gives a real sense of time past. I was around a little and it says more than words alone.

  • Thank you parkhill62, for uploading this wonderful video and beautiful music,it reminds me of lost friends and happier days.

  • Spine tingly awesome. Brings tears to my eyes every time I watch it. Saw the Bunnymen hundreds of times in the eighties. Always found Pete a bit aloof but without doubt the best drummer of his generation.

  • thanks for this. Elegiac. Bunnymen were always The Bunnymen when Pete drove the beat. Impossible to describe how great they were with Pete at the helm. Driving the rhythm, the rhythm of our lives. Great memories.

  • A great tribute! Don't miss the Wild Swans summer tour. Tickets on sale now

  • Thank you greatly for taking the time to put this together and share. Beautifully done.

  • very nice.

  • Yes and we were the fashion students who lived next-door who shared some of these good memories of Pete

  • One of those posts that sparkles and makes not your day, but your life. Twice a week, I take my Honda 750 into the mountains of W Japan. Heaven Up Here in one ear, under the helmet. Isolation, blue skies and moody mountains. Utter de Freitas territory. What becomes of people when they have gone? No one can answer, but the finest drumming ever, in my earphone, that`ll do.

  • I am silent. I never saw words and images go this well together.

There must bee a very sensitive peron behind this, to understand every little feel-detail. Sense of meaning.

I am speechless, still. I was afraid i lost this clip i didn´t save it last time. Now i will.

I send it to my lovely girl.

    All love,

    K

  • Thanks for posting, just amazing all of the changes in ones lifes journey. How I miss the 80's,glad I grew up then than now.R.I.P. To the ones that havn't made it this long and peace to the ones still here.

  • beautiful clip

  • Simply beautiful and SO Pete. Thank you. xxx

  • Brilliant! Mad Pete bouncing from cloud to cloud through the delicate mist of heaven.

  • I love Wild Swans and I loved Pete from the Bunnymen. I was really transfixed and I am in tears.

  • "sudden terror of DHSS squads, and Spandau Ballets New Romantics..." hahahahahahah OMG Im burning with mirth!!

  • quality vid..real taste of maggies britain and the culture of the day.

  • Thank you Parkhill 62

  • This is very nice, it reminds me of Liverpool and the mystery of bands in the early 1980's. Of strange clothing, and even stranger haircuts. Of spiky unique personalities and the whiff of something illegal in the air. Of the promise of something truly experimental and revolutionary. Of something that never quite... happened. Of a dream that faded and metamorphosized like one generation gives way to the next. My favourite bit is the motorbike in the bedroom
